Help with a little survey!

Awesome guys, thank you so much. Unfortunately I'm severely struggling to get people in the UK to do the survey. As on Facebook most people ignore event to a certain extent.

Actually, it's going to be far from online only. The main aim is to get it sold physically. I've got contacts in most of the biggest clubs around Scotland and know a good few DJs, so we're going to be promoting it that way.

There's actually very very little competition with this in the UK. There are lots of Asian online stores, and a couple of American, but no solid UK one. I'm not talking commercial brands like Shure and Sennheiser - I'm talking new and upcoming brands that create quality and charge a lot less. Like Hifiman, Earsonics etc. It hits the perfect market gap because they are actually affordable for normal students, but produce 10x better sound quality than the shit you get in HMV and stuff.

I don't want to disclose the main companies we might be working with because it's not totally confirmed.

But yeah, the plan is to get the student community first and get it into some stores to stir up some competition.

I'm just interested in seeing how far I can get with this, it's a cool little venture and thought it'd be fun. Plus I love earphones and headphones. It's just hard getting bloody survey results! I need over 1000 by Monday or something to get accurate data.

canvas on a campus or hit the high-street? just an idea. you can only penetrate so far with online gizmos... and if you don't want it to be online only, would help to generate some presence away from social networks, no? interested in how the clubs and dj's will help out with this... from my experiencing of dj'ing, you use the gear that you know is best (for you, at least) and tend to ignore all the other promoted stuff. it's a niche industry driven by prestige and word of mouth.

We can't do that just yet as we don't have the product to promote them on the high street right now. Get this data first to just get a general idea and then proceed from there.

Yeah, that's the plan, we don't want to do a lot on social networks, but in this day and age it's a necessity to gather some sort of interest from the beginning.

Well they're friends as well, so they'd be more than happy to help out. Not all DJ's around here though can afford the greatest stuff, and these products are just as good but for a fraction of the price. It's also more aimed at outside of the work use, so in-ear headphones, and not touching their DJ headphones.

Oh no, misunderstood me. DJ's don't wear their headphones if they're out and about and stuff. Not trying to replace their DJ headphones.
