In all honesty it's just about how you interact with people. If girls don't notice you whatsoever there's obviously something wrong with the way you go about things. Being talkative & open is all you need really. That, and ofcourse confidence - it only really hits once you stop caring about what other people think and when you're satisfied with who you are. If you're not satisfied, work on what you don't like. Take the initiative and do stuff, besides, if you fill up your day you got a lot to talk about with people. It helps.
