So, whenever i plug in my ipod or iphone or anything really the volume of the pc keeps changing.
For example, i'm watching a movie and i plug in my iphone and the volume goes down. Or I plug in a usb stick and the volume again goes down. The volume then returns to normal after like 30 mins...wtf?

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

What is the sound coming from? speakers built into the monitor, a 2.1, 5.1 system? dedicated amplifier?

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and I have not experienced this problem with my headphones, nor a speaker system I have set up. I tried to search for any related incidents and I could not find a solution for you.

Solution:

Control Panel > Sounds > Communications Tab > Check "Do Nothing"
