I'm moving out tomorrow and I won't have internet or cable for god know how long.  And I'm stocking up on movies to watch.

I'm a big fan of WWII movies/shows/documentaries.  Especially on the German side, but anything else is good too.

Here is what I've already watched or have

Band of Brothers
Inglourious Basterds
Saving Private Ryan
The Red Baron
Valkyrie
U-571

What I'm already getting

Hart's War
The Pacific
Enemy at the gates
Der Untergang

I also love 90's action movies like  Demolition Man and Judge Dredd so anything like that is good too!

Thanks, and karma to whoever helps with good choices thanks

The Pacific is a really good series out on Blu-Ray. One of the best movie series purchases I've made in a long time. Not German, but still cool since there isn't a whole hell of a lot about the pacific theater.

Oh and "The Eagle Has Landed" is a good one too.

Sigh, the blatant use of inaccurate vehicles ruined this movie for me.

This is probably a shot in the dark, but I remember watching a tv series about an hour long of the US side in WWII, series was likely made in the 50's or 60's by the way the video recordings look.  It was pretty good but I can't remember anything about it. I think in one episode they install bombs on a bridge and blow it, that's about all I remember

Edit: actually it was in color, but still old series

The Longest Day is a classic.

I'm surprised Das Boot wasn't mentioned already.

Inglourious Basterds is not about ww2 - it's about making a movie under the influence of heavy drugs. and maybe a little about the history of cinema.

The World at War ... it is a 26 part documentary series produced by the BBC back in the 70's.  Very well done with interviews of many involved in the war, and I've heard it said that this series has influenced the style and production of documentaries ever since.
