This was entertaining. But moving on...
By using the logic of 'it hasn't happened to me or my friends' is both reckless and ignorant. Either that, or you have one hell of a crystal ball. I've pulled a shotgun twice whilst protecting my property. The first was when 10 people showed up to hurt a friend at my apartment back when I was in college, and the second was when some thug was getting ready to come into my home (should a let him come in and now I wouldn't have to listen to his shit music anymore as it was my fucking neighbor). Fact is, Life happens. You can control some of the variables, but not all of them. To be blissfully ignorant must be nice, but it isn't my bag.
Neither have many Police Officers for that matter. Yet, the concept though isn't difficult to grasp. It is also the Boy Scout's motto, 'Be Prepared'. In the US, Pandora's box has been opened with respect to guns. Criminals aren't going to go away, nor stop using firearms in the commission of a felony.. Fuck, we had a serial killer way back that made his own 'zip guns'. Disarming the general law abiding populous is a retarded idea.Jaekus wrote:
I can honestly say I have never been in a situation nor know anyone who's ever been in a situation where a gun was a necessary line of defence.

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
