BF2S Forums Steam Summer Sale 2011

This time they're doing it much better with the tickets than during the Treasure Hunt last Christmas.
Last year you could only get one silly TF2 hat, now you can choose from a silly TF2 hat, multiple other DLC items and even a complete game.

I've got 24 tickets so far and already redeemed seven of the prizes, with four more of which I own the games.
If there are five more games that I own in the last four days, I could get them all.

Also, has anyone got this error message:

Oops, there was a problem trying to claim your prize. Please try again later.

I always get it when trying to redeem Alien Breed 2. All others have worked fine.

Steam is a steaming pile of bugs, though. L4D2 just freezes steam as soon as I click play. >.<

Verify Cache took about 40 mins, without any results, deleted a whole load of steam files (services // blobs) still didn't work.

Now i'm daring to re-download it on the slowest ass servers ever.

It's actually goin at 1.6MB/s

Which surprising during a sale like this one. My shit was hovering between 300-400KB/s a couple days ago.

My L4D2 works just fine. Played the beta of the new DLC this afternoon.

Oh, I just realized that I already got Alien Breed 2, as well as the first one.

I was beta testing both games and afterwards still had them in my library, although only as a trial.
Apparently, they've changed something, as now there's only a demo available, which seemed to have switched my trial to the full version.
I'll reinstall the game and see if it's really the full version, like it is for AB1.


Has anyone tried redeeming something that they already got?
What error message will pop up then?

The C&C´s are so damn cheap, I might buy them jsut for the hell of it...

I've not enjoyed any C&C since Zero Hour.

C&C 4 is down right garbage, SAVE YOURSELF. No, but seriously it's terrible.

C&C 4 isn't as bad as all that. I'd say it's easily worth a good sale price.

We're not having this argument, because you obviously haven't played it. It's absolutely the WORST RTS ever made, and that's saying something. GG though

The campaign is horrible and the leveling system is a pointless pain in the ass, but I wouldn't call it the worst RTS ever. The multiplayer is still fun when you can actually get a game going.
