Hey faggots.

Whenever I try to run a DX10 game or try to open dxdiag, I get an error saying that d3d10.dll is missing. How do I fix this?

Oh yeah, Win7 x64.

Also don't tell me to reinstall my video card drivers, I've done that.

reinstall directx i reckon. Looks like a direct 3d 10 assembly

For giggles if you want to go deep and see where it thinks it cannot find it, use this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi … s/bb896645

Yeah reinstalling directx should do the trick

http://www.directx10.net/

you could download the individual .dll but most of those sites are a bit dodgey

It's telling me that I have a more recent version of directx already installed.

Didn't work either.

You idiot.

Uninstall DirectX then install the version posted.

Honestly, how hard is that to work out?

But not the dll he has deleted.

uninstall the current version and install the old. Your dll will be restored. Then download the lastest and greatest.

I'm not seeing a repair option on the directx installer.

Uninstall every DirectX instance you've got.  Then install in this order.  DirectX 9, then, 10, then 11.  Nevermind if they say the latest version has everything you need.  Just bugged.

this is what I was going to suggest.  Best advice so far.

*run it from an elevated command prompt.  CMD right click run as administrator.  There is a diff in win7 between administrator account and role.

Exactly how do I find the path to the assembly?
