unable to access a certain website

ough im so frustrated i cant get on hootsuite.com since last week

i dont see it blocked in firewall and have tried having adaware disabled and antivirus off
firefox and ie
cleaned out all the offline network cache, flushed the dns(do i need to be out of firefox for that to work right?), deleted cookies..
i was able to see the site with pronproxy.com but it's not too helpful since it's just a facade

any help would be great

i access the internet thru a bridge that is using another homes wireless.
Do i need to perform all that cleanout crap on their computer?

Are you on Windows 7?

Go the Control Panel

Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, and click Change adapter settings.

Right click on Local Area Connection or Wireless Network Connection

Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and press Properties

Select Use the following DNS server addresses

Type in 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

haha.. it is a little relevant when considering that you're having a problem with some sites coming up. I use hootsuite daily and have never had a problem, as have several of my friends. So I'm just wondering if there is some sort of filtering going on locally for you. Filtering you may not be aware of.

Did you get it fixed? The issue is probably local. Since the site was once working and then stopped, try to remember if you have changed any settings recently. If so roll it back.

%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\

or

%systemroot%\syswow64\drivers\etc\

just copy paste the above paths in the search field, locate the file, open it, copy paste the contents here.
