Hurricane Charlie changed paths drastically (like hours out). People evacuated and ended up driving right in to the storm..lol. It's called the cone of uncertainty for a reason.

my dad lives right near the water and said the police were on their loudspeakers on the road below ordering people to leave. his development is right off of that road and very high above sea level, but clearly they're expecting quite the storm surge
going to work in an hour.
Everyone else who lives in this house is leaving (either cos they had plans or they don't want to be here for the storm). Guess I'm gonna have to follow suit. Damn, here I was hoping for a wild evening of beer and rain. Bunch of pussies!

Same here... seems more like a good rain shower than anything else so far. I even had a smoke and it didn't go out. Folded up a lawn chair just in case. The trash cans are full and heavy so they're not flying anywhere.

Still not much here although winds are picking up.
My only real worry is flooding at my house near college. I put all my expensive shit on my bed just in case, but man if it floods that's gonna fucking suck because it's carpeted.
