Funnily enough, I had the older version of that, too.

Nothing too fancy, but the mic is decent enough for people to clearly hear you.

I started to hear a buzzing noise when bass started to kick in after a few months of use, though. Not sure if that will happen with the newer version, though.

I now have the Roccat Krave headset. Awesome mic and awesome 5.1. Really, really good, IMO. But cost me a fair bit.

I've heard nothing but praise about the cherry browns. All the other switched seem to get mixed reviews, i guess its because they rely to much on personal preference.
Do you need to use an extra key (like Alt + [???]) to use those media keys, since theyre on the same key as f1-5.
I guess what i want to know is, could i still use the media keys without selecting an idle worker in sc2?

From what ive heard, cherry brown + media keys seems to be the way to go for me.

e: Too bad that it doesnt have a volume dial thingy
it has two volume media-keys on f3/f4... why would you want a dial? useless. and yes, there is a zowie-action button instead of a right-windows

once you go mechanical you literally never go back
