a "psychic" family is on trial for "stealing" 40 million dollars from their victims who paid them an exorbitant amount of money for having their fortunes read, and cured of diseases.

Sorry, I am leaning toward this family not doing anything wrong. Anyone who thinks or believes in this shit and is willing to pay for it kinda deserves what they get.

i took it that they went to family, willingly. so many times, people make greedy or stupid 'investments', only to have the 'authorities' pull their nuts out of the fire.

Anybody stupid enough to think they can get 20% back on an investment after 30 days who doesn't know what a Ponzi scheme is deserves the loss of money.
Same with anybody who pays $600 for "training" at a new job only to learn to hire people under them and has never heard of a pyramid scheme.

but is capitalizing on stupidity the same as committing fraud. I am all about throwing people in jail for fraud. It is easy to get scammed. But to seek a psychic to build or feed your personal wealth and greed, I kinda like how the tables get turned on these people.

yeah I wondered that as well, and what problem they had that they felt 20 million dollars and a psychic could solve. Seems to me 20 million alone could solve most any problem I can think of.
