Lately I've been having a problem with my computer crashing for seemingly no reason. It all started when the hurricane happened and the power was out for 4 or so days. Leading up to the power outage there was a couple surges which might have created a problem for my hardware. I have no idea.

When I crash, it will sometimes just completely freeze on whatever I was doing and requiring a hard reset, or it will bsod also requiring a hard reset. When that happens I was under the impression that it was a memory or motherboard failure but I booted to a memtest and it came up clean.

I've ruled out a problem with the PSU since I would assume if it was failing it would just shut off the computer. Ive had problems with my GPU overheating in the past but temps are always fine up until a bsod.

I'm not really sure how to go about figuring out the problem. Any thoughts?

EDIT: Windows 7

I think ive had 3 different ones. Some say nothing, one that I googled said it would be a memory problem

well, you should have seen it prompt for reboot and run through the file system on your HDD checking for bad sectors etc etc.
