I want to boost the storage capacity of my laptop without adding an external HD, and have found out about these expresscard SSDs with some considerable capacity. They range from 8GB to 96GB, with the 96GB costing about 250$. It also has the added benefit of boosting system performance through 'ReadyBoost', although only a select few offer this advantage.

My question is: are they worth the money, or should I look into simply buying a larger traditional internal HD for my laptop?

ReadyBoost is pretty much worthless. RAM is cheap these days.

Install a larger HDD, get an external HDD, use USB sticks, upload your data to the cloud.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
