The thing is : the rules apply to everyone right ?

However good or bad changes the patches bring they are equally for all, or why dont we just keep the game like it was before the first patch without ever changing anything - now that would really be awesome.

Adapt and change your gamestyle along with the game - its anyhow the interaction that makes BF2 a great game :-)

And to the guy that must have realism : Enlist !!

to make it simple i play the game ''Sniper Elite'' and it rocks how the game simulates some real sniper action does anyone else play this game?
I had sniper elite. it rocks.

Anyway I had mastered bullet drop with snipers.........now no bullet drop............so noob snipers can kill too -_-
Actually, I'm not worried about the noob snipers.  I can out-snipe them.  It's now the damn LMG's.  They send enough bullets, at least two will hit.  And with no bullet drop, yeah, I'm just using the M95 and not worry about armored troops.  Easy to headshot AT guys now.

I shot a guy twice in the head and once in the torso . He finally found me , turned  and shot me dead instantly . Fuck this stupid game - it sucks .

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you I was using the wonderful M95 (POS)

I played Sniper Elite too and changing to BF2 was really hard because the rifles in 1.12 were a joke, disappearing bullets on short range and shit like that.

And there still is bullet drop, even with the mighty L96A1,noob snipers only kill the already injured with a chest shot,a clean headshot on long range still takes skill.

no. maybe they dont need an improvement but they are NOT that accurate. not even close. it depends on the weapon and how good you can aim.

The Barret M95 sub 1 MOA and a maximum range of about 1800 meters
The M24 has a sub 1 MOA (as low as .5) and a maximum range of about 800 meters
The L96A1 has reported .25 MOA's and have a range of over 800 meters.

None of these distances will ever be encountered in game and as such a trained sniper (your character is trained, even if you're not) should be able to effectively eliminate his target almost every time...so, I'd say that a 600 meter shot with an M95 by a trained specialist should eliminate the intended target at least 97% of the time.

Most MG's are semi-accurate to within 1000 meters and should be able to effectively place rounds accurately within the limits set in game for view distance.

So...by them resetting the sniper and MG's accuracies, they have actually increased realism
Finally, here's someone who knows what he is talking about.

Yes, MGs is reasonably effective in the 400-1000 metre range and previously, the game didn't reflect the long range capabilities of the MGs.

Ah, so thats why its see easy to snipe, I tried using it account for bullet drop, but it never worked out so well. So thats why, thats really lame. I loved the bullet drop.

I think the weapons have been over compensated as a sort of runner up prize for all those who used to use nothing but grenade launchers or bunny hopped & sprayed... So hey you cant hop about like before, but hey Support is now the equivalent of an unarmoured APC & snipers dont miss anymore so pick one of these kits & no worries

Never stated that its allright to hack/cheat did i ?? - just that the changes with the new patches applies for everybody thus making the game a tad more interesting over other games that never change !!

Uhh.... that's the point of a LMG...

Yes, if prone.  Running and gunning with an LMG and getting kills only happens in movies.

With my style of play, yes.  Although I play plenty of Karkand, I'm not usually part of the spray and pray crowd.  My K/D may be average, but I'm fairly accurate.  Pre-patch, as Assault, I could usually go head-on against three enemies, counting on the in-accuracy of guns.  Now, I often lose half my health taking out the first enemy.

Assault Rifles 35:35:24 978 952 1.03 21.56%
Carbines 15:03:58 351 341 1.03 25.02%
Sniper Rifles 26:17:16 566 333 1.70 47.45%

Not used to getting killed from distance.  Most of my sniper deaths were from artillery.  But adapting.  Playing more stealthy now.   And spraying more as assault or support.

Have you ever thought of people's aiming to be better rather than saying that the guns are too accurate? I love it when ppl complain about dieing over some BS shot .. it's war dude ... ppl die. Just respawn and get over it ....

They sprayed too much before, and I rarely saw anyone ever use the class.  I did, but I didn't find him too effective.  If you're trying to say he's overpowered, I'd still disagree.  And the tactics I'm mentioning would be since it easier to die as an infantry now, maybe more people will begin to squad up for protection, and play more diverse classes.

I dunno, I can always dream..

Actually, no.  Pre-patch, as sniper or assault, I never worried about the PKM at any distance.  The only ones that made any one to two shots kills at distance to me were the G3 and G36E.  Other guns, I had time to run and heal.

But in the end, just griping.  Yes, respawning and finding another spot to snipe from.

I take back my griping on the increased accuracy of guns.  The side-effect more than makes up for the more frequent deaths.

Now that there are more Snipers and Support, there are fewer AT.  Now, as a tanker, I usually encounter only 1 or 2 AT's at a time.  Plenty of time for a tank to kill, and then retreat to repair.  The SpecOps rarely blows me up now.  Only when I'm in the zone, forget to keep moving, and forget to check my six do I get blown up.  Although I appreciate running over those who still try.  Onlly problem I've noticed is that I'm encountering more armor convoys.  Much harder to kill those now, what with more engineers in the field.  No worries about the increase in mines.  But it sure does take a long time to wrench them away now.

Songhua is a miners dream now.  Pre-patch, it was too dangerous to mine the waters.  As a lone engineer on an APC, I took out a convoy of 2 APCs, a rib, and a jeep with some well-placed mines and proper gunning.  I placed the mines before I started to cap the flag and waited for the inevitable attack.  They tried to kick-vote me after that stunt.

About sniping.  I'm loving it.  I can be farther away and still make the headshots.  The farther away, the less chance to get spotted.  And with the new AA's keeping the artillery busy, I have yet to have artillery rain down on me when I'm a lone sniper.

Even though the LMG is now an uber weapon, it still lacks versatility.  I still prefer the vehicle killing feature of the GL.

Adapting, being more aware of my surroundings, listening/looking for those LMG rounds/flash.  And relishing the easy sniper/assault headshots of all those proned support.  Just make sure that you see them before they see you.

worst new thing is claymores. whole teams have become sniper, and set up a line of claymores around their bases. that is ten times worse than more accurate snipers.
they should still make them team kill, but make it a suicide, or better yet, no minus points at all.
