I received my Iphone 4s today and like any sensible person i would like to put some apps on it.
Now i already had an Apple ID (because of ym macbook) but it's a free one without any payment method linked to it (I don't have a credit card). Now i can use this to download apps just fine and do all other things on my phone except buy apps.
when i want to buy one it asks me for a payment method and of course i want Click and Buy since i don't have a creditcard. But when i try and click it, it doesn't do anything.
I called Apple support and they said that you can't change your payment method and that would have to make a new account. Now of course I didn't want to do that, but i tried anyway and as soon as i got to the payment method select screen, same shit. Couldn't select Click and Buy. So it's not the account, but it's a Click and Buy/Itunes issue.
I know that there are issues with Click and Buy involving Chrome (which is my standard browser) so i set IE to standard but still the same thing (i.e: nothing).
Anyone know anything about this?
I'm still awaiting a reply from the apple support folks, but my brother had a similar issue (C&B wouldn't redirect him from his browser to itunes) and the people at apple support weren't even aware of the incompatibility with chrome so I don't have a lot of hope that tehy can fix it.
