As some of you guys know, I just flew to Florida for vacation last week. We were originally going to take Southwest Airlines, but due to my connections at the airport, I was able to get a free ride on a Gulfstream II that just happened to be going down empty the same day. Easily the most comfortable flight EVER.

I have never been in a plane that small. I think the smallest plane I have been on was a 60-80 passenger propeller driven plane that my family takes from Atlanta to Illinois when we see family from time to time. how are you connected at the airport? you work there?

I work at the local airport in line service (fueling, towing, marshaling planes) and I'm also a pilot myself. A week or two ago I was towing the jet and started talking to the pilots who told me they were moving the plane to Florida empty the same day I was supposed to go. All I had to do was say please and they let my family and I come

I went in the exact type of plane earlier int he year for a 30min joyride while the pilots figured out why the autopilot was broken. Was awesome.
A whole flight to Florida must have been pimp. Did yours have a stereo? Having a rave at 43,000ft is now one of my ambitions.
