Ok, im gonna try and describe this best I can but it really would be better to see in a video, but I don't know how or care to do that so screw a video.

About the sniper rifles, in BF1942 I use to be a master sniper, hitting people in mid-jump, long range hits, long range moving target hits, ect. But once I got BF2 (around November) I noticed I couldn't hit crap with the sniper rifles.  Now I don't know if I have a crappy mouse or if the game doesn't like my mouse or if this is normal for this game.

I'll try and give an example, lets say im a sniper and im sitting on top of a crane.  I look over at a doorway in a building about 200m away and my crosshairs are set to the left of the doorway, now I want them in the center of the doorway, but for some reason my aim won't go there.  See, this is my problem, I move my mouse an increment, the slightest movement possible and instead of my crosshairs moving only slightly they move to the complete other side of the doorway. Its like the whole aiming system in BF2 is not smooth or something, its not as percise.  This even happens to me when im any other class, I can never get crosshair right on my target no matter how little I move my mouse. The only way im able to get crosshairs anywhere on the body of my target or where ever else im aiming is to aim my gun, then move my body which isn't good when your a sniper.

I have a feeling it isn't my mouse since I don't have this problem in any other game on my computer. Although I did ask a friend of mine that plays this game and he say's he doesn't have that problem. Am I going nuts, or does BF2 hate me or what?

This may be a stupid question and I apologize if it is but have you tried messing with the mouse sensitivity? I know I had to lower mine to .75 to feel stable...I will probably move it lower. Dunno but maybe it will help...good luck.

definitely sensitivity issue
i dont know why bf2 has the capability of going so high if most people dont go above 2
but yeah, i would try it at 1-1.5 and see how you like it, if its still too high then just work your way down

Old mouse?  Optical or ball?

Old mice will have a lower DPI.  Although if it only happens with this game /shrug.  If you got a spare try another one out, or get your friend to bring his over.  Would at least rule that out.

Make sure your drivers are up to date, and going to EA support / knoledge base could give you some answers.

Good luck with that.

Set your mouse sensitivity low in your game settings and high in your mouse settings (if you have mouse that support sensitivitys) so your overal sensitivity is about same as you have now and it should works well

Ok, i'll try messing with the sensitivity. I do have it fairly high, I think theres only two notches left before I reach the max sensitivity.

And yes, I have an optical mouse, and no the mouse doesn't have its own sesitivity adjustments.
