-_- that's not the point and you know it.

It's ease of use, uniformity.
no that is the point

at least they make sense when converting to other metric units
yeah, for example

2,840 km is 2,840,000 Metres.

2,840,000 metres is 284,000,000 centimetres

284,000,000 centimetres is 2,840,000,000 millimetres

however in imperial nonsense it is

530 miles is 932,800 yards

932,000 yards is 2,798,400 feet

2,798,400 feet is 33,580,800 inches

CRAZAZY

Working in milimetres and centimetres is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier than fractions of an inch,

Not really.

Its super simple math. If someone struggles with simple fractions it's their own problem

simpler than knocking off/adding zeros? no and when you have two systems you're expected to know, and switch between them on the fly? naah

a five year old can work out metric. You just add some zeros.

you actually have to learn fractions before you can do a lot of imperial. and then how to multiply by 3 and 12 and whatever else there is (I dont use imperial so I wouldn't know what else there is)

Stop making out like it's just as simple as metric, just because you've grown up and learnt about it.

I used both systems in engineering school. The only advantage to metric is when you get into very small, or very large numbers. For everyday crap it's just a matter of taste.

Everything here comes in metric and imperial. Schools teach both. People just refuse to drop imperial.

i'd say fahrenheit is actually better for weather reporting. Think about it.. generally the coldest temp most will experience is 0F and the hottest is 100F. The scale is just better IMO. But for science, kelvin rocks.

Fahrenheit is much more precise for weather.

Rankine is more precise than Kelvin, though having freezing at 32 is an annoyance

well yes but it's nowhere near as clear. people understand stuff like water freezing and boiling, and for those numbers to be at 0 and 100 makes everything else easy to relate to. and going from that to kelvin is much simpler.
