That's actually an appropriate size for a laptop on the go. I've given up on arguing for one of over another, its mostly personal preference. I, for one, can't stand the atrocious window management on osx

I just need my now 4 year old laptop to last me another 2.5 years. Thing takes 10 minutes to start, the HD has been clicking and squealing for a year (on its way out), and the processor is only a dual core 2.0Gig.

It's a glorified typewriter at this point.

Yeah I definitely could carry my 14" laptop around with me but I really have no need to since most of my classes are math and physics. My notes are digitally and audio recorded anyway using a livescribe pen

Not yet at least :p It would be annoying to have my laptop out in class anyway since I prefer hand writing. Plus I live about 3 minutes
away from the physics building so getting it is no big deal
