it's only because of ROTC and the way the AF does their budget... so my senior year will probably consist of 1-2 normal classes, my ROTC classes/PT and a job

Broaden your horizons and stuff. Electives are cool imo. I got to take cool classes like analog and digital controls, hvac systems design, project management, the history of horror films, and my all time favorite 'literature of the sea'

Most of them are bullshit and just a way to extract more cash from students, but occasionally they help someone realize that they really like something they never would have otherwise experienced. And they help make students "well-rounded" and all that...

But it's mostly a way to get more $$$, especially at state schools...

one of my staff members for my trip to israel had a degree in women/gender studies at university of cincinnati (where 15 other kids on the trip were from). when she told me i accidentally started laughing and she got mad at me lol
