Worked out! Recruiter actually asked to change it himself the day-of to a different time (he gave me plenty of notice and my fridays are usually slow). He apologized for changing last-minute and I apologized for changing it originally. We quickly moved on and the call went well and I'm meeting with the manager tomorrow, a full day before the original call screen. Lesson: move quickly if you apply for job. I'm already talking to the manager a day before the earliest possible time for everyone else to even talk to the recruiter.


Secondly, I have a different interview tomorrow as well, this one with a lithium silicon battery startup.

The guy I share a homeroom with snitched on a coworker.

There is a one on one teacher aide who recently had a baby. She was pregnant before she left.

Now she is back. Her job is to walk a special education student between classes and provide any support the kid needs. The kid is a high school student though. The kid is friendly and not disruptive. They are basically in their own world and the other kids don't bother her.

In my class the aide will put her head down and nap. I don't mind. She is a new mother and I don't need her to do anything anyway.

In his class the teacher aide will go to the teacher lounge couch and nap.

So the guy I share a classroom with went to the special education supervisor and told on the lady.

This had a ripple effect through the department though. The teachers do not like the one on one aides being in the classroom. We don't like another pair of eyes watching and judging us while we work.

So when the students are absent the one on one aides will tell us and then go someplace else for the day. Either to the teacher lounge or a friend's classroom. Maybe they will even leave for the day. That's awesome because again the teachers don't want the aides there anyway.

But since my coworker snitched on the one aide, the admin is now making sure the aides are in the classrooms even if the kid is out for the day. They tell them to "follow the kid's schedule anyway." This has upset the aides and the teachers.

I learned of the snitching through one of the aides who complained to me which means the aides are complaining among themselves and with the other teachers. So now a lot of people in our department have labeled the teacher a snitch.

As for me, I am keeping a distance from the teacher I share a classroom with. Freezing him out arguably. It wasn't cool he snitched and caused problems for the entire department he also snitched on a new mom.

Nothing is stopping you from posting your stories about hanging out in the homo barracks with the other runaways and closet cases.

Some of them are contracted, some of them are contracted and unionized, and others are through a temp agency. It would be problematic to give them a different assignment than the ones they were hired and expected to do. Doubly so when they are unionized.

That's all fine by me. I am neither an admin or an asshole. And the behavior by my coworker to snitch on the lady was asshole behavior. I really didn't like it and it makes me want to help and deal with him less.

That's why the military is a homo summer camp that never ends. All of the soldiers are runaways who couldn't man up and tell their parents they are gay. So they ran away to join the military to have an excuse to never marry a woman.

Job offer! (from first one, second interview place ghosted the fuck out of me after the full circuit interview panel)

The good:
Minimum 30% raise, potential for 160% raise if I receive full performance bonuses (which I wont because they just use high numbers to draw you in).
Other dumb tech-bro crap: $300/mo 'lifestyle' stipend (gym, electric car credits), onsite chef for hot meals

The bad:
5 days a week in-office. MUCH of my job can be done remotely and while I'm happy to be in the office for the camaraderie, the 2-3 hours of commute each day is a tough ask
No promotion. This is the same shit I'm doing now.
Weekend on-call once every 2 months.

Are any of the 3 bad issues deal-breakers? Not on their own. But all 3 together amount to a deal-breaker.

Daily 2-3 hours isn't worth it. It's a boat load of money but I like me dog and my fiancee. Sitting on the bus reading and not seeing them aint fun.


WFH sounds like a dead no. I emailed the recruiter asking about it but if I hear back anything other than 'we're very open to it after a probationary period' or something, then it's a no.


I've taken lateral steps for the past 3 jobs and I'm honestly tired of it. I get raises each time along with the "potential" to transition up, but I keep getting screwed over by one thing or another. If it was some guarantee or likelihood I would be open to another lateral step.

Pretty much achieved disengagement at work.
The cycle is always the same, I can slog away for about a year or two on 'things which need to be done', then all the shit gets to me and I stop caring.
I've hit some major wins, critical for the company and which others had been floundering with, and senior management respect my input.
I've felt its time to slack off a bit and do things my way, ie effectively and efficiently but not at a madcap pace just to hit some date which doesn't matter.
Probably thrown my weight around a bit, said what I think and annoyed a few people - I see this as their problem.
Its a fairly comfortable place to work and I didn't really care too much going in so its pretty well zero stress.
Need some things to put in the industrial x-ray machine...

I can then upload to - didn't even try the dropdown.
I can share it from here - wherever here is.
I can also link it from here - how is that different from sharing?
I can sync it to ... different places, eg another drive. Then which is the master? What happens files unsync themselves? Which they do without warning.
What is the point of adding a shortcut to onedrive? I thought the point of onedrive was to store actual files, not shortcuts. At this point a warning that deleting the shortcut in fact doesn't just delete the shortcut, it deletes all the files off the server, would be ideal.
Yes I could download it, then there will be two files in two places - at least.
Why the fuck would I want to open it in sharepoint? This is the stupidest idea so far.
I do not wish to add any document library to whatever the fuck this is, thank you.

If its an actual thing then it has to be done.
If not then it will end badly for everyone.

My local teachers have mandatory reporting, they know 9/10 just get filed.
