Fire away. I wanna know what you though. You get home safe? Or are you not home yet.
IT'S HAPPENING IN LIKE AN HOUR OR SO.
I'll be leaving for the airport(field lol) in 5 minutes.
Phil will just have to wait for all the details and what not until i'm home.
e: unless i can find some free wifi a the airport and if im not too lazy to grab my laptop (i aint typing shit on my phone, too much of a hassle)
But first: Congrats to you and jacqui, it's a shame that i cant congratulate you two in person.
So yeah, to the point: Dundee was nice, but that was mainly because of you guys. As a tourist I would probably only visit it whilst travelling through it, since you can pretty much see everything worth seeing in less than a day.
But I had a really great time hanging out with you, jacqui, fin, freya and even your mum (she was nice to me, but i see your problem so i aint judgin'), for the short period that i stayed there. If i ever go to scotland again (which i most likely will) I will be sure to visit again.
To Phil: it was all very standard, just a young (student) couple living in a flat in a small town.
Everyone kept saying that Edinburgh is so much nicer than Glasgow, and I can see why so many would think that 9especially the people of the generation above me) because it's old, it has a rich history and its very tourist accessible. but thats what i didnt like about it. It was waaaaaay too touristy. Fun for a short visit and see all the sights and museums, but just too damn touristy for any more than that.
I actually preferred glasgow. I was sin the west end right next to the art school and pretty much a block or two away from most of the galleries. So i was in a great location and the city just seemed a lot more youthful, hipper and laid-back than edinburgh.
e:
Dont travel alone. Its why i left so early. Its all fun and games when you go for a day or two and visit museums (which is what i did), but its gets boring real quick when youre alone. I guess you can make it bearable if you really make a thing out of it to meet new people by going to hostels and doing tours, but thats not what i wanted to do on this trip.

There's a lot about American patriotism that I don't like. This is not one of those things though.

Thread title needs to be changed, it isn't fucking Christmas, unless you count Independence day.
Hey, you may not like certain American patriotism, but I don't give a fuck.
The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
Well maybe it's American Patriotism's fault. If it had more heavily-armed Velociraptor-mounted former Presidents and less War Man maybe I'd like it more.
