Ryan, as for your motherboard, either have your mom look under the hood or you could go find your puter make and model and go to its web site and look under system specs.
Or you could download sysoft sandra or any other program that will tell you what your specs are. There are some programs that can actually detect your system and auto update all your drivers... cannot think of any off hand but they do exist.

dont forget to plug your computer in... one of the commenest causes of black screen lol
ill come and installl the game for u for 100 bucks if u need help, also try reinstalling the old patch over the new one that might work, also not that many people have the old patch so its gonan be hard for u to find any games u might find some unranked ones, but very few ranked...

Also, I dunno about in America (Im assuming here you are American) but here in England the game has a 16+ rating, which means you shouldnt really be playing it anyway.

Ryan: the patch adds a hell of a lot of things to every map folder and shit in BF2 so it cannot really be deleted since it has altered the game-files. But unistall-reinstall as instructed in posts above (not the "enemy boat spotted" one) and you'll be just fine. Good luck
