Good food trucks for sure. Actually, more like carts. The food truck craze was reborn in SoCal but the variety (especially Thai and Viet) up there is awesome.

Haha lots of hipsters and artisan bread makers and shit like that. I think what makes it awesome for me is:

Cool breweries in and around Portland (i liked the Deschutes tasting room)
Cool scenery like you don't see in SoCal (the city is on the Williamette - pretty awesome)
The nightlife is pretty freaking awesome, especially in the Pearl District
There's a really cool arcade called Ground Kontrol that serves like 10 beers on tap and has probably 50-100 video games
Super solid public transportation in the city center (used to be free, now i think it's like $2)

Sounds a lot like seattle minus the quality public transportation.

so music player, radio and recorder. I'm not really too impressed with voice recognition ability so I'm skeptical about the voice recorder, fact checking, shopping assistant aspects of it. Is it always on? Aren't all those functions available on your smart phone? I'm just trying to figure out the upsell here...

It is kinda meh.

It can't hear commands over its own music. The music takes like 20 seconds to start. You can ask it to play a band but it won't play them unless you added the songs to your prime library. Instead it will play a station based on what you asked like Pandora. I asked for LL Cool J and it gave me country music lol

It knows what city I live in but when I asked it who the mayor was, it told me the mayor of the city named Bayonne in France.

The phone app needs work. That's all.

It has trouble understanding long question. it understands "who is the king of Spain" but didn't understand "who was the last king of France'

It has a lot of potential though and it probably gets firmware updates so the sky is the limit.

It is only $100. Wouldn't pay $200 for it.
