considering its in the context of academic rankings, and i was dispelling meth's ego with an argument about academic research...

how am i generalizing? of course im not talking about every single piece of research done in the uk. i even said in my first post that corporate research for big pharm / energy is completely separate from academia, outside of its avenues of funding and careerism, so is therefore irrelevant. an academic - note, academic, someone whose career is in academia - will never go fellating a businessman, or with his hands open, asking for money. that's not how it works in the UK.

by the wall of text I can tell he has no life what so ever.

not sure who that was aimed at, but i have a touch-typing speed of like 120WPM, so a 'wall of text' is more like 30 seconds of thinking aloud. don't be stupid.

Pretty much. Ultrafunkula and Varegg repeatedly banned people who would post a lot like marine and ig. This would happen in the 5 to 10 the minutes they were on for the month and no one questioned why they are still mods so here we are.
