wtf is this nerdshit
All I really remember is I based my deck around a foil Denying Wind, which was 7 blue and 2 I think, and its ability is "Search target opponent's library and choose up to seven cards and remove them from the game". So I basically had a lot of counterspells, ley Druids for quick mana, an artifact that allowed me to untap creatures at will and another that would allow me to convert mana into any colour I wanted. So I had a bit of every colour to basically set up a couple early defences, search my own library for cards I wanted, shut down the opponent/s and then pull those cards out of my graveyard and back into my hand. I got called a cunt quite a few times during the few games I played with it
The only card I kept after I sold the lot for $150 and a half ounce of weed:
I just played a bit during 4th edition. Everything beyond that is foreign to me.Jaekus wrote:

I can't remember much now because I was stoned a lot at the time and it was ten years ago.

I've never tried.
MTG nowadays is kinda lame. Power creep made games quicker and more one sided. If you don't have the latest set of cards you will get rolled over. It is not as bad as Academy decks were legal but it is unfriendly to anyone nut hardcores.
I ran a all black life drain deck. A bunch of 1-3 mana creatures to hold you off until I can take your health with sorcery cards. Only high mana creature I had in the deck was the avatar of woe. Amazing card.

My brother had a foil avatar of woe. Mix it up with a green/blue deck and you can start tapping it multiple times a turn to smash your opponents very quickly.
A mate had a foil Reya Dawnbringer, which is kinda opposite. Would make for an interesting game sometimes when both are in play.
Speaking of angels. I had this but never was able to build a working deck around it. You need a bunch of white and black removals but I never was able to get the balance.
Dawnbringer is q great angel but I would take Akroma over it
There is also an artifact card with her name that gives all your creatures her abilities. It is crazy.

Squirrel reaching for the sky card is the most valuable card in the game
You guys had way too many tactics.
I rocked a squirrel deck bolstered by creature enchantments and spells. Nobody expects 40 flying 2/1 squirrels!
My deck was from the Odyssey series, mostly.

The shape of an eye in front of the ocean, digging for stones and throwing them against its window pane. Take it down dreamer, take it down deep. - Other Families
I had a simple black/red burn deck that would win maybe 1/3 the time. My favorite card was:
"Ah, you miserable creatures! You who think that you are so great! You who judge humanity to be so small! You who wish to reform everything! Why don't you reform yourselves? That task would be sufficient enough."
