I recently looked at rankings to see when I can get an unlock because I am DYING to get the L96A1 and I see I can get an unlock at Lance Corporal. So I work my way up and I get in while in a Wake server. I was very excited so I disconnected really fast to go get the gun. I click on the "BFHQ" tab and it says I am still a Private First Class with 43 points to go. I restarted BF2 thinking it was a bug and once again clicked on the "BFHQ" tab. Still a Private First Class.

So what's up? Did I disconnect from the game too early, or does it take a while for the information to get to EA about me, or is it a bug and I will never get an unlock?

probably just EA's slow ass server. happened today with me, it told me i had gotten gunnery sgt. at least 3 times but no rank or unlocks. then a few hours later i logged on and boom.

Well, firstly to get the L96A1 you need to have special forces and you need to have the M95 unlocked. Secondly, you get notified ingame when you get promoted, and once you hear that you will eventually get the unlock, it might not happen straight away because the information doesn't always go to EA instantly. You'll get your unlock, never fear

Okay.. so is evryones stats not updating?I have had some great games today (a few 100+ and 80+ points) and BFHQ is still saying the old stats. I should have my expert specops by now... but noooo.

Oh that sucks. Looks like I need to go out and get Special Forces... not.
