As the map was loading on pre 1.2 masshtuur city i would always be thinking about how i was going deal with the blackhawk (vodnik/take gas station/or die), if i could here it i would alway's look for a place to hide while it passed over , it had the power to dispose of a squad in seconds and stop its progress and was a huge advantage to usmc if used correctly . post patch as MEC the map has become so much more enjoyable , being able to move around the map without fear of the BH splash kills and work as a team , anyone else feel that the new patch has set a different tone on the map ?
The map has completely changed. The black hawk is useless for anything but transport now. I'm not real happy about it to tell the truth. I agree its turrets needed to be toned down a bit but now its as useless as the MEC's chopper. I would have rather had them up the potency of the MEC's chopper and made it a bit more equal to the Blackhawk. In a perfect world they would have upped the MEC's firepower a bit and dumbed down the Blackhawk a bit and really equaled them out a bit.
I was on a turret last night and the chopper landed to cap a flag (not on mashtur though). I was on the turret and had a sniper RIGHT ON MY CROSSHAIR and didn't get one hit on him. At this point they might as well just take them out and make it so an engie can sit there to repair. This game still needs alot of work.

this was my initial thought , that they would up the MEC hele gun more powerfull , but instead they made the BH as fukin usless as the MEC . But having given the map some time im finding it more playable , TBH they may as well ditch the choppers for what there worth ( i cant seem to hit shit )

i always thought it was even with the BH going around. me and my clan always shot it down and then stole it when we were MEC. it always gave us something fun to do... so now we just go steal the tank..
yeah, it's a good feature, but i don't pay attention to the BH very much, just a a slight annoyance......
The most fun part of mashtur as MEC was stealing the Blackhawk, sending you crack team up there to take out the guys spawning and steal it right from under their noses, only for your pilot to lag out and moment you got it and end up crashing itKamikaze17 wrote:

wait call me retarded but why r u guys talkin about the MEC's? the blackhawk is a marine helo and the MEC's guns always sucked the BH's ruled i didnt know they lowered the strength of it that sux ill try the map rite now 2 c this with my own eyes cause im always the pilot of that helo gainin thought TW points ill respond in lyk 30 min after the game...
I don't think they nerfed the blackhawk too much. you have to aim a little more carefully to hit single targets but other than that it's not that bad.
You either have to be quick at killing vodnik gunners or have a pilot who knows when to leave to give the engineer(s) time to repair the thing.

i just played and the BlackHawk was fine they didnt lower it that much
So people are complaining that Mastuur City is actually FUN to play again? That the Blackhawk isn't absolutely DOMINATING the map anymore? You never heard the MEC people complain about thier POS chopper. But then again it serves it's purpose as a TRANSPORT chopper. So please, go cry to someone who gives a shit.

Mashtur was a fun map regardless of side to be fair, it's just the whiners again that cried because they couldn't work as a team to take down the blackhawk. I used to make a squad called AntiBhawk when it was obvious the enemy Blackhawk was owning with ease. It generally didn't last long against 4 or 5 people hunting it down.

Esker you just proved my point. Did the US ever have to worry about working as a team to eliminate the UBER MEC shoebox chopper? With the blackhawk you didn't even have to spray someone directly with the miniguns to get a kill. It always gave an obvious advantage to the US. But hey, whatever, we can discuss it forever. I'm tired of it. You can say they should'ave left it alone all you want, but they changed it and it's DONE. And I'm done posting about the stupid patch. It's pointless. Out.
