If EA wants to encourage teamwork, they should reward the best Squad of the winning side in similar fashion as they do the commander.  The squad leader would get 10 bonus points for the win, and each squad member would receive 5.  You would also have to be in the winning squad at least 10 minutes in order to qualify.  This would hopefully avert people from hopping in just to gain a few extra points.

Another good idea to promote teamplay in squads. Another idea that will probably be ignored by the developers.

Sorry.

I like the best Squad bonus idea.

It seems that gross lack of required team play amongst the general population on servers can be attributed to several things, not the least of which is a lack of guides written specifically to teach squad play. Perhaps these guides are  out there, but I haven't seen any. I'd bet that a large percentage of lower ranked players simply don't realize when they are being a dufus to other members of the squad.

Some of squad play is just common sense, but I've read about quite a few nuances that less-experienced players do/don't do that annoy the more experienced players. These are things that new/beginning/intermediate players need to know before playing! Otherwise, it's just part of the game and all new players will continue the blunders and continue to annoy more experienced team mates and feed the flames, name calling, and other psychotic reactions.

Several excellent ideas about squad play have been suggested in the forum, thus bf2s forums and the writings of experienced BF2 soldiers can help developing players tremendously. Since team play and capturing flags is the core of the strategy of the game, guides for squad play could help players acquire an acceptable amount of fore-knowledge, so they can conscientiously fulfill their responsibilities to a squad.

Unless of course the community just wants n00bs to harrass
