Yes, knife throwing should be introduced for Spec Ops. They're virtually ninja anyway.
To compensate, Support, Assault, and Medic should be able to fix bayonets, AT to smack people with the rocket tube, Engineer to smash people around with the wrench of beat them with AT mines, and Sniper to be able to stick Claymores TO people found stationary.

I did never understand why (unlike so many other FPS) there was no melee attack. I don't count knife in that.

A soldier would never throw his/her knive away, its just stupid.
Dice already learned their mistakes on throwing knives in BF1942: Secret Weapons of WWII...

Knife throwing would be cool, but throwing you G3 when you run out of amo would be more useful.

Uh, well it would be cool, but it would eliminate the fun of knifing in my honest opinion.
Also knife fights, while your opponent goes down to stab you, you throw a knife in his head. (lame)

Actually, I have had a thought. Knifethrowing is bad. Why? Support class. Knifespamming in alleyways. Instant-kill weapons + spam = bad.

Throwing a knife in a time that soldiers are wearing Kevlar(R) helmets and vests is completely useless.
A rifle butt or a thrust with the barrel straight to the face on the other hand make perfect sense.
Heck, you even learn those melee attacks in the Austrian army.
Does anyone remember Aliens vs. Predator? If you run out of ammo with your standard rifle, the player turns the rifle around, grabs it by the barrel and starts bashing aliens with the stock as if it's a baseball bat.
Also, in No One Lives Forever 2 the Soviet soldiers could perform a melee attack with their AK47's stocks. I was always annoyed that the player couldn't do it and I got knocked down lots of times.

(Ummm) NO. Why would I throw away one of the most lethal weapons, that I have? It's not a Ninja game.
Whats funny is, even if you took away all my armour, and guns, and broke one of my guys' arms, and only able to punch, people would still call me a hacker for pwning them!!
yeahh.....and add wall running (Jedi Knight) and some mana meter = fireballs and lightning. And pokemons army.
