I personally thought it was a nice form of balanced, each team had a superior air asset. Mec helicopter is the best, USA had the black hawk, and china had the j-10. I didn't see a reason the tamper with it.

Now I know that this is a game and not real life but shit now you have to spend the entire 15 seconds before the gun goes cold to hit one fucking guy now. And now that anti-air is so beefed up how is a BH gunner suppose to hit the rocket pod now...huh EA?? They have cripled the Black Hawk seriously. Besides there were only a handful of maps where the minigun really tore shit up .....namely wake island after the airfield is taken but shit it is hard enough to win on the map as it is for the USMC. Though really they took the effectiveness of the weapon and moved it to the opposite end of the spectrum ...it flat out sucks now. I am not bitching because I used to rack up tons of kills with it actually I am the BH pilot for my clan. But why did they mess with it ????There were not even that many complaints about it......if it aint broke don't fucking fix it EA. Now the minigun is as good as the 50.cal on the MEC and Chinese support helos...helo it is a minigun capable of over 4 thousand round a min how could you miss. It took my gunner weeks to get good with that gun , and believe me he is good (pre patch) now WTF!!!! I am pissed my internet was off due to a move for the last montha and a half and I have come back to this ..........THANKS A FUCKING LOT EA...... and YOU BASTRDS at DICE........ they should have upgraded the other choppers instead since now they are shot down easier. i know alot of this was said already but I had to get all this off my chest...sorrry for the long rant .

Black Hawk is mainly for transport in my oppinion but it was abused by players to create a bloodbath on maps like Mashtuur. Most BH players didn't had any intention in capturing flags or helping teammates out, they only wanted to score score and score more! Circeling around in BH above MEC flags and just lameass spawnrape MEC to death and didn't bother when some teammates got hit by their minigun! Good job EA/DICE on BH with last 2 patches i am saying! BH is very good for transport, taking out enemy armor like tanks and apcs and even hostile assault helicopters but only infantry is difficult now and i am pleased about that!
Before patch v1.2 Mashtuur was a feared map and i stayed away to keep fun in playing BF2. I ignored servers wich had only Mashtuur on it 24/7 but since last 2 patches i am enjoying myself on those servers again.

I almost never flew in Blackhawks, but I hated seeing them nerfed so much...mainly because I would organize anti-BH squads to make the BH whores lives a living hell. Sure the BH was powerful, but not so much that 2 or 3 people working together couldn't take them out fairly easily. I have literally hundreds of screenies and videos of how easy 2 or 3 Vodniks could dominate a BH in about 3 seconds.
Here's an example where I went 36-0, and two teammates were 18-1 and 15-3...all of mine and all but a couple of their kills were BH downings:

They should have made the MEC/PLA chopper guns more powerful, not the BH minigun as weak as runny shit sliding down the beanpole of life.
Those of you who are jumping for joy over the castrated Blackhawk (its actually a Seahawk but whatever) need to:
1) act your age if you are a high school grad, GED or at least over 18.
2) put your BF2 CD or DVD away until you are over 18 yrs of age.
Why? Because the Blackhawk or any other vehicle in BF2 that has been classified as "UBER" can be overcome by the most powerful weapon the game provides..................T E A M W O R K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have played Mashtuur City many times and seen the Blackhawk fly only once. Thats right folks. If MEC acts as a team and captures the USMC base where the Hawk spawns, its bye, bye Blackhawk. MEC usually wins the map if it captures and holds this point early in the game.
But guess what, you need to act as a team and work together to capture that point as MEC! Thats right, no running around with your "noob tubes" instantly gratifying your pubecent selves with cheap kills. Here is some advice, CREATE A SQUAD, INVITE PEOPLE TO JOIN, AND WORK TOGETHER!!!!!
Unfortunately EA/DICE markets BF2 directly to the under 16 crowd. Thats where the money is because mommy will always make sure that a copy of BF2 is under the Christmas tree. EA/DICE know very well that the average 16 yr olds attetion span dies quicker than a flash of lightning so as soon as something is found to require teamwork (or thinking) to overcome they will nerf or remove it. Short attention spans require easy access to Rambo style thrill kills. You don't believe me, just grab the new PKM! EA/DICE have outdone themselves the new PKM instant gradification "kidde cannon"!
So, expect more of the same as long as the majority market for this game is the 16 yr old crowd.
BTW... Don't bother replying with "Hey I am a teenager who works with a squad and helps my team all the time!" If you are then good for you. Unfortuneately the majority of your generation is not with you.

Hovering in the trees on Wake with a decent gunner was the most fun part of the game. The Blackhawk wasn't really a threat unless the US controlled the enemy's air base. EA really shoved a dick up our asses with this nerf.

I racked up about 3,000 driver assists in 2 weeks before the patch. I totally agree it needed to be nerfed. It ruined Mashtuur City for the MEC. I would get 100-200 driver points a round on 64 man maps if I had half-way retarded gunners. That is too much and it had to go. I think they have gone a bit overboard on the nerfing, I think a BH midway between where it was at 1.12 and now would be good. And to bring balance on the worthless flying P.O.S. for the MEC, they should equalize the 2 helis at that that level. Of course they won't, because the idiots at EA don't actually play the game so they don't know the consequences of their changes and how 1.2 + has ruined a lot of aspects of the game.
