I know some servers don't allow it, but to me anyway, one of the funnest things to do on Wake Island while you're PLA is to find some trusty, motivated squadmates, and raid the U.S. carrier.

I love it when their commander sends a UAV, calls artillery on HIS OWN CARRIER(lmfao), and all of the enemy aircraft INCLUDING jets spend the rest of the round trying to hunt me and my squad down.  Even if you end up getting finished off in the end, it's just a satisfying feeling (to me anyway).

Ideal carrier-raiding commando squad:

2 Snipers (Armed with at least 1 M95, obviously for picking off pilots)
1 Medic (Armed with whatever he wants, but he has to be good with it)
1 Spec Ops (Blowing up enemy assets)
1 Anti-Tank (Blowing up enemy aircraft)

Squad Leader should be either Spec Ops or one of the Snipers (don't ask why, it just works best that way)

If the situation allows for it, the entire squad may climb up onto the bridge/towers/whatever.  But, once they come under attack, the Squad Leader should jump off the edge of the carrier and land dramatically in the water, then swim back to the carrier via boat hangar.

Good stuff... you should play with me and my friends sometime. We've done some good carrier raping rounds lately where we each get 70+ points (about 100 kills combined) which INCREDIBLY helps out our team. A couple times we managed to stay on the carrier the whole round. I'd just like to add a couple points and our basic strategy:

-2-3 M95 snipers. Each of them in charge of taking out pilots on the Blackhawk, the Cobra, or the jet plane. They also put claymores on the ladders that give access to the rape area (where the radar is).
-1-2 Anti-Tank troops to take out the AA emplacements should the enemy manage to get into one of them, and for some good close quarter combat. (Use the DAO of course)

One important thing we do differently is that if the squad leader dies, he leaves his post and rejoins the squad to be able to spawn again. We can keep spawning on the carrier this way. At first we start with 1 spec ops, 2 snipers, 1 anti-tank. The snipers then claymore the ladders, spec ops takes out the assets. The commander will then send supplies to repair the assets which keeps us stocked up on claymores and AT rockets.

Some people really hate this for some reason. But all we say is DON'T SPAWN ON THE CARRIER if you're getting raped there. Usually they'll have 2-3 points on the island, we'll shoot a couple americans, and next thing you know everyone is back at the carrier trying to take us out. Our teammates then just cap the flags, and defend the main island from the few that do spawn elsewhere. Gotta love it.

Me and two other people were doing that today, it was funny. All of us had M24s and sat at the end of the carrier (opposite the USS Essex) and sniped the pilot and co-pilot out of the Cobra. They never found us, nor did they get off the carrier.

Add a support to the squad for ammo and then your set.

doubt it pla doesnt get m24 and if you got it off a dead person it doesnt go through armoured glass.

doubt it pla doesnt get m24 and if you got it off a dead person it doesnt go through armoured glass.

There are so many ways you can do this it's just awesome.  Players will always have their own styles and strategies.  As long as it works.  I did not put a 6th squad member because I think that 6 is a little too much (attracts a LOT of attnetion) plus, as GotMex said, you can get your ammo by taking advantage of the enemy supply crates.

Ahh... Carrier raping.

I've done this a few times with my friends at work and it is usually a lot of fun. I'm not quite as good at sniping as one of my friends who's had a lot of practice carrier sniping, but it's still a blast. He (my friend) typically gets a KD of 10 to 1 as a sniper employing this tactic. I usually go as Spec-Ops or Anti-Tank (my preferred sniper weapon). The only problem with sniping as AT is that you only get one shot before you give away your position, but if you're working with a squad and have claymores placed in the right spots, then you usually don't have to fear the other team finding you.

Squad leader shouldnt stay on top. He should hide somewhere below.
