BF2S Forums is anyone else having crash problems

I presonally havent had it happen yet, but a friend of mine has had it happen a few time.  Hopefully thats what is being addressed in the next patch.

Can't even get online with a server since this new patch

Mine crashes befor you join the server then it rebots to join the server but other than that the game works fine.

I don't have crashing problems, but my original BF2 can only be launched once. After u exit the game and relaunch it w/o a computer reboot, it gives me an error and won't launch. SF is fine as usual. This was after 1.2 and have tried reinstalling it etc...

ive only started getting the freeze problem.

Yes I did.

But to answer the question: yes I've been having crashes or freezes since 1.2. Before 1.2 I've never had any stability problems with BF2, but since the patch the game freezes once in a while. Usually it just freezes completely, but sometimes the game seems to freeze for 20 seconds and then the screen goes black, but I can still HEAR the battle raging on around me. Also had a freeze for 40 seconds (3 times) and after those 40 seconds I'm back at my spawn point.

same here,  tried clearing cache and it helped but still does it on Warlord every load.

mine crashes to desktop now and then, but happened before the 1.2 patch

My buddy came over today and we play for about 5 hours. We both had our ethernet connections to my router. After about 2 hours I was disconnecting from the server about once per round. Strange thing is, we are both on the same router and I was disconnected and he was not. His box has win2k and I have winxp. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. I normally get disconnects, but far less often when I am playing by myself.
