If you have SF then you get two unlocks at promotion.  Sorry but EA in their infinate 'wisdom' decided that this would help sell SF.

It makes sense ... otherwise, people without SF would have 7 extra unlocks that they can't do anything with.

Did you do the following? (in order)

1. Install BF2
2. Install 1.12 or 1.2 patch.
3. Install BF2 SF

If so you need to reinstall the 1.2 patch.

I had this happen to me, I installed BF2, then the 1.12 update and then BF2 SF.. I had some servers complain of modified content and kicked me off.. after looking on google for a short bit I discovered you have to apply the update last.

Then Explain me this.

I log into BFHQ , i can't see any other SF&EF guns to unlock (i dont have SF )
but i can see the L96A1 and the P90 for unlock well explain that for a sec.

That's quite tricky on your part.  I wonder if that would work to fix the problem i have with my new account.  It's not offering me the L96A1 sniper rifle as an option to unlock.  I do have the M95 unlocked.  I do have the required rank.  I do have SF installed and patched up.  You will see that i have the weapon unlocked with this name http://bf2s.com/player/45519378/.  However, this one http://bf2s.com/player/64683979/ doesn't.  I do have the unlock still available and just keep hoping that it will fix itself.

Your idea might be a way around this problem though i'll have to check into it.

This worked for me and will work for  you.  I had the exact same problem.  You can unlock the SF weapons unlocks as your second unlock don't listen to anything these people tell you they're wrong.

I did that just last night. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

Do you have the M95?

If you are playing special forces you maynot use the L96A1 rifle. That rifle is only available in vanilla bf2. IF you need other info please feel free to PM me.

You may also notice that you can see the euro force in the army selection thing. but you havent braught euro force yet...

Did you have an extra unlock still available? What I mean is you have to have two to be able to unlock the M95 and then the L96A1 in a single go, if you already had the M95 another unlock should immediately have become available to you once you logged back into BF2 again after playing for any time in SF.

You could, I don't know, play SF? It's a great addition to the basic game with some great maps with some different wrinkles on gameplay with the ziplines, gas and grapples.

I read in one of the post that you have to play for 20 mins of SF. So I played about 4-5 rounds of warlord. Relogged back into the vanilla bf2 and it actually gave me 5 unlocks, so that was 4 free unlocks I got out of it. Don't know if it was registered to the amount of kills I had or the time I spent but I loved it.

So problem fixed for me atleast, suggest people try the same thing.

i think you need one round of SF to get the unlocks

cuz the damn thing isnt intelligent enof to scan your pc to find if you had the game for every account or not..
