Give Squad Leaders A Reason!

Recently while being commander, I wasn't getting a whole lot of requests.
This could be from one of two reasons that come to mind:
A. They don't need anything because I'm providing it
or
B. They just don't think of doing it

Which got me thinking.... why don't SL get any points for calling in a successful artillary strike?
I think they should get some kind of credit for doing it.
Just a thought.

i agree that some 'compensation' should perhaps be awarded to squad leaders and commanders working together well. i'm just not sure how you could make it work in such a way that it wouldn't be grossly taken advantage of for points.

personally when i command i hope that my squad leaders are pestering me for things...arty, supply, uav, spots...
that kind of pestering will keep my mind sharp and focused while i do the job at hand. i don't like having to try to guess sometimes what would be best for my team.

now i do have nearly 50 hours in the role of commander, and a little over 100 hours in the squad leader role. yet opn most nights i find the game far more enjoyable to be the 'toadie' for my sqaud leader. "what kit will help us most SqLdr?" "where we going chief?"

Well, I'd much rather people whoring SL points rather than not joining squads at all.
Whenever I'm commander, I always ask(nicely, for the record), for everyone to join up into squads...
The results I get at 6 or 7 1 man squads and maybe 2 4-5 person squads = /

I thought you got more teampoints as a squad leader for assigning targets, requesting orders, UAV, supplies and all that stuff...more for commanders who acknowledge and perform requests...maybe i'm wrong

Man you all are right on... I fly blackhawks. I played a game last night where all I did was fly for my squad, received 0 points and 0 deaths. Had multiple successful Airborne troop drops that lead to taking over a lot of flags. Yet... no...Not even a single team work point. I guess sometimes you just have to take one for the team. They should really fix this.

Pehaps SL should get some bonus if the team wins, or wins best sqaud. I think a 1.25 bonus would be adequate.

The award for teamwork is victory. I know it sounds like a an overused pep-talk headliner, but it works.

Second that! Your bonus is knowing you closed with and destroyed the bad guys! Personally, I don't care how many points I get, if my team wins, I'm happy.

Maybe the best squad of ervery team should get a bonus.
Like 10% of the squad score for the SL (max. 20 points) and 5% for every squad member (max. 10 points)

I agree. Another idea would be to give the squad leader a teamwork point for evey flag the squad takes over; sort of like a capture assist.

Tying SL Points to Commander Requests should not be that difficult for EA to prgram, also, there could be Team points for capturing a position that the commander designates. Doesn't have to be much but any incentive would help promote squads. I also agree with Mike<Eagle23> There should be some kind of bonus for the best squad. Anything that get's more people in a squad I'm all for.

Well I dont call much because 99% of the time your ignored!.
If you get a good server,Squad & comander then it all gels very well and calling for Art etc becomes invaluable.

If I'm not calling for anything it's probably because I'm busy doing something or I don't need it.
