Death by Supply Crate Tales

I'm on Mashtuur last night as US. I jump in the middle of the round and note the tank is sitting unused, so I spawn as engineer and proceed to have a rip-roaring round. I get up to 24 kills in a row, no deaths. I am in the zone, making kills, zooming around, repairing like a demon. I've even got a half decent gunner in the mount.

I finally get knocked down into the red and go park in a safe area to make repairs, gunner nicely giving cover fire. I hear the supplies your area message but most commanders aren't that precise with the drops so I keep cranking away planning to hop back in when my wrench is out of juice and then looking for the crate to finish repairs. Well all of a sudden I get the you were killed message and I think WTF? Camera zooms out and low and behold the commander has expertly put the crate right next to the tank, and RIGHT ON MY HEAD. My legs are sticking out from under the box like the witch from the Wizard of Oz.

That's my first crate death.

I don't know how this happened, but... It was two days ago on Sharqi when I got my Veteran Knife Badge. I ran after this squad, knifed them, there is a sniper standing nearby, I go for him, he turns, spots me, I ran after him, and at last I got a crate in my head.

If that was a planned move by the enemy commander, GODDAMN that's timing .

lol thats a good one...i was once prone between a tank and apc on the road heading towards hotel and square sniping some guys with my pkm and all of the sudden a crate falls down on my proned body without my notice and all of the sudden im dead LOL i was like wtf just killed me lol...i think we should pay attention to the hud where supplies are been dropped in future lol

I was lurking around the enemy uncappable base doing a bit of spawn raping when I happened to be killed by a spawning helicopter. Serves me right i guess.

my tales is an embarrasing one.

Went commander and thought i would do it the proper way (i.e. stay back and command not go round shooting everyone).

So i am watching my squads do their jobs, and giving them orders as i go. I was giving each squad the option of calling in artliiery, UAV or supplys.

One, two man squad, were walking up to one of the enemy flags, so because i have already activated my UAV, i tell the squad leader that i will spot enemy near him. he kills a few guys which i have spotted, and his team mate is round the other side of the building. The squad leader calls in a supply drop while he is capturing the flag and just as his squad mate gets killed when killing the last enemy soldier standing there.

The flag goes grey, just as my supply drop hits, Killing the squad leader.
The enemy then re-captured the base.

well, i didn't really get killed by the crate itself, but it lead to my death. and -2 points. here's how it happened

i was playing sharqi, capturing the city entrance. while i'm at it i usually get in the mounted mg and watch the opposite roof for guys spawning. so i'm sitting in the mg and all of a sudden a supply crate drops right onto my head. it didn't injure me at all and there i was... standing right in the middle of that damn crate, unable to leave the mg or move at all. so i had no option but to go to the spawn screen and hit the damn suicide-button.

now that sucked

One time I was playing on mashtuur, and I was lying prone next to the building that always has all the snipers on it. One of my teammates was dead, lying in front of me, repeatedly crying for a medic. I was AT, so I couldn't revive him. He continued to cry for a medic, and it was getting really annoying. For some reason our commander dropped a supply crate near us, but it landed on the edge of the roof of the building we were lying next to. The crate was perfectly balanced on the edge of the roof, swaying slightly back and forth.
My dead teammate cries for a medic again, and this time one finally shows up. The medic revives him and runs off. The teammate stands up, says "Thanks, I owe you one", and gets crushed by the supply crate hat finally toppled over the edge of the roof.

Well, this is not a joke, I've been killed by a supply crate while flying a chopper at Sharqi...
our commander wanted to repair our arty, the crate "spawned" in my chopper and we got pwn3d.

Last night I saw a sniper running around the spawn at square dropping claymores, he ran around the corner and a supply box landed on him, it was hilarious first time ive seen it happen i think.

now that is funny!!!! he probably started swearing at that medic for it lol

i was playing wake the other day and at the airfield running about the other side of the building where the flag is on the way down to the chineese artillery killing people. then all of a sudden i turned to head up to the beach flag when our supply crate landed on my head... the commander got a moving target headshot with the crate.. shame i was on his team really

I was kind of killed by a crate. the first time iv ever seen it happen to a teammate and i was laughing so hard an enemy killed me.

I always try to supply crate the enemy commander and snipers, but one time on Wake I squashed a guy waiting for the AH-1Z on the carrier. Three other guys just stood there looking at him, laughing, I imagine, only to get launched into oblivion by my follow up artillery.

I was playing on Warlord one night as a sniper. I was on the building right next to the hideout and was running out of ammo. Asked for a supply crate as nobody was responding to my "i need ammo" cries. Lo and behold where does the crate land, but on my head. Not on my body, just my head.

It zoomed out and you see my body sticking out from the crate, but you can't see my head. I had to laugh at that one.

I was flying a bomber, i was doing a usual bomb rush, suddenly an enemy plane is looking after me, i change my view to "back" view, i was evading him very well when suddenly i got killed mid-air by a parachuting crate.........luckily my debris got the enemy plane too...

i was flying in clean sweep, i had a good amount off kills, it was a bomber (dont know what team), i went to the flag thats closed to the usmc uncap, then i clicked the button to switch to bombs, i ready up in a straight line, go down a bit for better hit, just when i want to press the button, a suply crate pops up 5 meters before my plane. it was emarasing and i got pissed off bigtime.

and once flying in sharki, i was going to tv for repairs. but the arty was dead. a suply crate pops up to fix it but i came in it full speed. it ended up getting me destroyed and kicked for saying banned word "SHIT".

once i was as mec letting my gunner rape away at tv. i came above arty and it started shooting. i got hit and when i spawned, i get hit again by the same arty. thats about it (the last 1 happens once in 2 weeks)

When I started BF2, I spend lots of times as a spec-ops.
One day, I infiltrated into the enemy's base, blew up UAV trailer and artilleries and got away from there asking my commander for supply drop.
Yup, my command listened and dropped a supply crate.
"Thanks. I owe you one."
Few seconds later, suddenly I died.
"what the..?" and I saw the supply crated landed on me.
My commander made a pin-point drop on my head.
That was so funny. So far, it happened only once.
