alright i'm quite far off from making seargent. yet i'm still planning that third unlock. i've been happy with my first two unlocks so far (m95/L85A1) in order. wish i had taken the medic then sniper but thats something else.

i really don't use the spec. ops as much anymore as my stats would show. since i really don't think that the G36C is that much better a weapon than the one the spec ops get to start with. that being said i prefer the medic kit (with upgrade) over spec ops for the teamwork (chance to heal yourself
too) and the better weapon.

i've been leaning more and more upon the use of engineer and support. though the engineer i've found to be an awesome kit as MEC the others with the pumpy have limited me to armor vehicles and repair in tight squad work.

the support kit i like because....hmm...well...well i guess i really like being the guy that people run to (out of ammo F@CK!!!). they WILL come to YOU. i also like the amount of damage i can deal when i use that weapon with out having to reload sinceits such large 'clips'. i'm a very good control fire guy as it is. (hitting at 30% accuracy)

i guess i would like to hear peoples takes on the jackhammer vs. the support weapon unlock.

i've only had extremely limited use in both during in game pick ups. as these seem to be little upgraded kits early on.

first of all, let me tell you, the spec ops unlock, the g36c, is fucking awesome
between the jackhammer and the pkm, the pkm would be the best bet
it does double damage, better accuracy with smaller clip and firing rate
i dislike the jackhammer bc one clip is good for killing 2 guys, then you have to reload; besides, the usmc shotgun is a one hit kill, the mec shotgun is semi automatic, and i dont know about chinas shotgun, so the jackhammer isn't too much of an upgrade

The PKM is definitely a great weapon, while the accuracy suffers a little, 2 shots in the chest will take pretty much anyone down.

im also planning on unlocking the PKM when i reach seargent, whenever that might be .
i already got the G3 and G36C and those are really good guns but im missing an unlock in a supporting role and i cant stand the standard support guns. i should be able to mow anyone down with those in CQC but they shoot somewhere but not into the direction im aiming while standing, prone is ok but not always the time for that
i tried the DAO but not the jackhammer but nayway im more into medium range battle since i like to outsmart my enemy and kill him while hes unaware of me.

I use the PKM (also have the Jackhammer unlocked) and I have to say I enjoy the PKM more..Could be that I am just not that good with the Jackhammer, but I find that the gun simply doesnt "feel" effective. You have to be super close (obviously..its a shotgun) but sometimes I find that I am more effective with a pistol. The AT mines are nice when you dont have a bunch of blind people driving all the jeeps/apc's. The Pkm though, I am usually getting top 5 on whatever server I am on with it. If you can get into a good spot, the medium range fire fight is yours to command.

Hmm well thanks the the advice. Especially to you Uriain (since you actually have both). I, like you, have found the shotties (other than the MEC's) to be relatively ineffectual in combat. I too have relied upon my pistol when caught out of a vehicle with my engineer.

Angus f.y.i. the chinese shottie is exactly like the usmc one.

Well hopefully i'll be finding these weapons out in the game some to make my decision easier when the time comes.

really depends on the maps for example on karkand i would take pkm (on most maps i would) BUT on like say Warlord DEFINATELY jackhammer

next rank im getting both.... (i picked them up to try them out and i used a friends account for a bit to try jackhammer)

i personally loved shotguns in my previous account, but i almost 100% use my mp5, pp15, MEC one ????, all the time

I say get the G36E for medic kit... kick@$$ weapon & health packs!

But if it's between the PKM and JackHammer, I'd say the PKM.
