^ That is the map i designed on power point. It is called Al Samdur Valley. I am putting it up for grabs for any mapper who wants to make it. Just acknowalge that it was my design in the read-me .

So what do you guys think?

I like the idea, but I don't think the USMC starts out with enough spawn points. Or at least give them an uncappable.

I like it, nice setup, the uncappable should be for USMC, instead of the MEC, since we are the ones attacking.

See in karkand, USMC attacks, so they have an uncappable flag.

In Sharqi, the MEC are fighting to get BACK the TV station, so they have uncappables.

It should fit the scenario of map better.


If I knew how to make maps, I would make that.

I allready designed sumthing simular to that It was snipers only map You can only get sniper Guns I dident put any river trugh it as it was my first map and dident know how to doit at the time The map is Called Thug Wars you csan find it ether on my site at www.BADHQ.com or at BF2 files.com  or google it up Im sure if I modify it I can Turn it in to your map It's really simular to that

Hey its a great looking map, and I really wish i had the resources to make it, but I will have to agree with the responce above.  Normally, judging by the highly made map Strike at Karkand, the US in this case appears to be invading MEC territory, ergo, the MEC should not have any uncappables since they are the ones the USMC is looking to invade.  I agree wholeheartedley with the Airborne drop point, however this map does look wide open and mountanous maybe?  would be a haven for snipers spawn raping at the USMC insertion point.  Just a few ideas, but other than that I love the map and i certainly hope someone has an ear open.

well, to anyone who wants to make this map, go ahead and change the uncappable base to USMC. Also this is NOT an mountainous terrain, it is quite flat (except for the valley). I was hoping that the main fighting would take place on and around the bridge, and at the top of the elevator area.

I like the idea, maybe few more buildings t o snipe from would be nice, buildings like the TV station building in  Sharqi Peninsula, so you can actaully go inside the building and clime up all the way on the last floor maybe like 15th floor or so on, in the middle of the map, with few smaller buildings around it nice idea, and yeah make U.S. invade MEC, have burning cars and a trashy town so u can get places to hide. Nice design with the bridge, would be nice if it had the top part to it , so you could climb up on top of it, and place explosives so when enemy vehicles pass you explode the top part of the bridge and it crashes down on the road crushing the enemy units.

it does have a "top part" (towers), those two blocks in the bridge are the tops of the toweres. It is a susspension bridge. And i don't know if you realize that that space in the middle is a giant canyon/valley that is like 300m-400m deep...

Its a lot like the market garden map of 1942.
I reckon that having the bridge in the middle would be good. It would make a killer bottle neck with tanks, apcs and people, where it is you would mainly get tanks and apc battles. Maybe also have rope ladders in safeish place so that you can climb down, swim river climb up and kill.
