well congrats anyway. all's fair in love and war, or something. i just got my veteran engineers (my last vet badge to get) and now i have a lengthy wait till i rack up 100hrs on something (probably spec ops first, that's always been my fav kit). 40 kills looks like a daunting task. when just firing one shot at a time the spec ops with the G36C can play a fair decent sniper as well. i've a few kills by running up onto to a roof for a bit, but it's better than sniper cos you can then run back down and cut sick. wake with few people is an insane map to get massive scores on. i accidentally got 181 on wake one day - i'm not particularly sure how i did it, cept that the game went for freakin' ages! i think i got three of four ribbons/badges that round...

20kills as a spec-op is nothing, a J10 on wake can get you 50kills without much trouble, the Havok on Sharqi, the g36c+c4 on karkand, fewer than 64players makes it easier+++
Without vehicle whoring or anything like that, I think that either Sharqi or Wake's the best place to get it (as long as the US gets onto the island). I've gotten 20 kills with Spec Ops on the ground with both of these maps in full servers. There's not really much of a technique-get in a squad and go capture flags. The enemy will come to you.
No need for a helicopter or tank here

na look if u want a deff ganutee that u will get any kind of badge wether its basic vet or exprt. USE A TANK! Cant go wrong! Be a sqd leader and use ur kit and ask for supply drops. And on top of that u will be getting not only kit kills but also tank kills and time using a tank. If ur not good at using a tank get used to it quick it will help u! trust me i know!
^its not satisfying using a tank to get combat badges, i got expert Specops and i know i earned it because i didnt use one vehicle to get it(just 100% groundponding and c4 trapping)

I actually just got my Veteran Spec-Ops badge this morning.
I played on Sharqi Peninsula. I spawned at the City Entrance as USMC and immediately started moving toward the MEC base. Took out their tank right away with the TOW missile then proceeded to move up the hills. I picked off a few snipers and PKM guys from a distance with the carbine on single shot. They still hadn't managed to get past our defenses yet so I moved in dangerously close to spawn killing range. Before I knew it I had 10 kills with the carbine and I was out of ammo so I switched to the pistol. I got 4 more kills with the pistol before I was artied by my commander. Well 14 to 1 wasn't bad, it just pisses me off when it ends by a TK. By this point they finally managed to get the base by the water edge (Hotel?) so I held them off with C4 and the carbine as they tried to make their way up the hill. In no time I had enough kills to get the badge.
I'd suggest trying the same map, I definitely prefer it to Karkand because it's not as polluted with PKM and Noob Tube abusers. Just my 2 cents worth.
