I hate jets, I realy do. I mean lets get real, can any of you, that being that you are not whores, claim to actualy have flied one for longer than 5 minutes in one round? fuck no. EA put two jets on one map, that sucks, I have played bf2 for like 250 hours, and only four of them have been in a jet. the only reason I got my jet badge is because when i first played the game I managed to get in some guys jet, and he was flying round and round and round, I dont see how its posible to get the jet ribon, I play wake alot, and I always see like 12 people waiting for a jet and 7 waiting for an attack chopper. I always end up getting in a transport vechile because I know, even if I did get the Jet, I would only be sniped out the cockpit by some lame teammate. I find it makes the game horible. They should have just made it choppers only. What is your opinion?

I actually like jets, and if there were more then in 2 game, then they'd be way over powered.  I got my Jet ribbon a couple weeks ago, and you'd need to talk to your teammates and try to tell them that you want to use the jets maybe for a round etc.  I personally like to get on a 16-32 people on the 64 man Kubra Dam map to do my Jet stuff.  If there wasn't jets, then tanks, AA vehicles, and APC's wouldn't have much to fear.  If used properly, they can take a helicoptor out very easily.  Good topic man.  I've actually been in a jet for about 14 min. without dying in a round. and I've probaly been in one longer then 45 minutes all together.  Just takes time and practice I guess.  the biggest thing though is to try to coordinate with your teammates and see about them letting you use the jet.  That's what I did.

I think the jets should run out of fuel after 3 or 4 minutes in the air, and you have to LAND it to refuel, instead of just low-flying the runway.   It's the bottomless fuel tanks that make air support unbalanced.

according to this if you can fly the jet you're a jet whore, if you can't you're not. i think you should just stick to ground pounding because i think it's just you. i have a pretty balanced amount of hours myself so i'm not a jet whore, but i'm not a ground whore either. i try to pull out my pistol so i'm not a primary whore but sometimes i get called a pistol whore, it's hard not being a whore because there are so many newbies who type before they think in this game.

Jets are not fucking pointless at all, just because you suck n00b niples at flying them doesn't deny their point and coolness. I am no star piolet, but when i get a jet on Kubra Damn, I have alot of fun pwning you. (That is the only map I cna fly on). Jets are only fun if you can actualy fly it. If you are n00b at it (no shame in it), then it is no fun. Just practice and you will see....Oh yeah and stop playing wake if u hate vehicle campers/tkers.

You put a lot of thought into that didn't you? With all the tking for planes now, can you imagine if you did have to land? By your logic cars, tanks, and all other vehicles should have to stop for gas as well then.

It's too easy, it's too hard, I hate tanks, I hate jets, I hate grenade launchers, I hate knives, I can't wait until patch x.01 comes out, now I can't wait until patch x.02 comes out.

if planes should have to land to refuel, then armour should have to go back to an uncap/main/furthest away spawn point to refuel....oh and every shell should be loaded manually into a tank when rearming and a tank should have 4 crew men....oh yeah and SRAWs should kill armour in one hit...and....

I think the real problem here is you're a fucking idiot. I don't know what server your playing on where you have a line of 15 guy waiting for a jet but I don't susually see more than 2 or 3 guys waiting for any one air vehicle. If you can't live more than 5 minutes in a jet you have to be pretty damn dumb. It HAS gotten a lot harder to stay in the air after the newest patch, mainly because is some other jet gets behind you you're fucked 95% of the time, but if you've played for 250 hours then you've played before the patch and I had no trouble staying airborn the whole round.

I stay alive regularly for 25+ minutes in a plane, I think the OP just sucks. 4 hours in a plane? It's no wonder you can't survive.

This isn't a flame, but you do need to practice a bit more than that.

About landing to refuel, take your "realism" bs and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Would you like it if you were critically wounded and had to be carried off the battlefield and have surgery for hours and weeks-months of recovery before you could rejoin the battle? Do you want to drive a tank, jeep or apc back to an uncappable base for any kind of repairs or rearming?

Tell me something about this game that isn't unrealistic, please.

ok well if u gave jet fuel then give apcs fuel and tanks and buggies and choppers and mobal AA and boats. im a big jet whore and i wouldnt mind having to land it would be fun i do it when i have like 2 bars of health any ways. i get like 100 kills in a round with a jet and like 0-10 deaths 40 player server. im soo good if u r inf and u have a uav on u. u better start praying if im flying  *EDIT* o yea not only that but if u add fuel then make a fuel kit. he can have a flamethrower    lol     shot his tank and boom. or just add it to the engie. kit

Your just plain wrong. Another opinionated topic, that someone can't accept that they don't have the patients to PRACTICE on single player, and just bitch ..... its just endless.

That's a good idea, kind of; I can land on any runway or carrier deck, no problem!

i agree, raise the game physics a little, then landmines could be effective more on the runways

hehe i like jets, i have spend over 120 hours in an jet
but its alot harder now, with patch 1.2, but skilled pilots still can make alot of points, without gay baseraping..

Hell aircraft were absolutely the best before 1,2 now they kinda suck, though nothing is better than the good 'ol Spitfire and Mustang from BF1942, wow, those were good times flying it!

i saw a demo at a miltary /airshow of power thing in Cali a few eyars abck. they fired a iraq RPG at a decommsinhed Abrams took 2 to do much damage. they show american SRAW equv at it aswell.. def fucked it up. but the crew could go on and it was still moving.

My opinion is, just because you cant stay in the air doesn't mean no one else can. I can still fly a whole round without getting a death. 1.2 made it more fun to fly because you actually have to try now and use more strategy.

I upgraded my ram and load before anyone else on the server. This means, any vehicle I want. If you want vehicles, try doing the same.

even after the 1.2 patch..I can stay alive in a jet for about 10-15 minutes depending on which side I'm on or how aggressive I play.

If I get a hold of a j-10, I can stay alive the whole round unless I get tk'd by my own AA or crash into a tree (now becoming a rare occasion)

and I got my jet ribbon post 1.2 if I remember correctly

and I'm well on my way to my jet medal, all I need to do is pretty much keep at it and I got it
