Im not shure exactly where to go with this post, but i'll start with drivers.

Since 1.21 ALOT of people have been complaining about LAG. What gives? For me, I dont have exactly "lag", but it isn't smooth.

My system:
WIN XP PRO
2gig RAM
X-fi Sound blaster
BFG TECH / Nvidia 6800GT OC
AMD 64 3500+

Drivers: For AMD / Nvidia systems, what drivers have you had luck with? I have tried about 10 differnt drivers. Most of the time if I have a problem I will have shimmering or just weard lines. Not smooth clean display. With STILL some crashing.

Connection: I do, as well as most of us have a fast connection. Most of the time my ping is between 20-50, yet we get laggy choppy game play? With other games in the past that I have played, if you have a ping of 20-50 the shit's smoooth... BF2 isn't? Any ideas?

I guess Im wondering if any one knows whats going on with 1.21 or had heard any thing reguarding 1.21 and lag problems.

Have you run memtest on your ram? Have you compared benchmarks with your video card? This is where I would start....

Your not the only one I just patched and after about 2-3 games I start to get this choppy lag... I don't get it!did you resolve your issue? Brand spanken new system and all drivers are updated... It is never ending with EA all they do is screw shit up.

I have :

AMD 4400X2
Asus Premium
2Gigs XMS Corsair
7800GTX

What gives this patch screwed things up...

Very choppy me and 2 mates playing today experienced alot more chopiness than normal and HUGE ping spikes for prolonged periods.

Hmm, the game's FPS increased for me, while I got random stuttering more often.

AMD 3200+ XP
1 GIG RAM
GeForce 6600GT 128MB
Creative X-Fi (<- Does this really increase my frame rate? Because I'm not buying it...)

I believe the x-fi increasing frame rate phenomenon is related to taking the audio rendering load off of your cpu. If you have audio rendering set to software, your cpu has to do all that work, which takes away from the time it works on the game. Basically having any sound card will give you a better frame rate than having it set to software.

Anyone figured anything out yet with any sort of fix? I have tried tons of stuff things I should not have to do. But once again EA screwed some of us. I am sure they will be right on it once I contact support right?

I also got a soundblaster card and had a lag prob. i disabled VoIP and everything was fine...

No problems here, and from what i have read, my pc is the worst here (still good. I'm too tired to give detials) and i was going to write something intellgent, but i forgot.

posting time: 3:14 am. so if this sounds unintelligent, then, thats the reason..... *goes to bed*

I patched it, now I get my internet cut every 5 min.
