I was going for that armor ribbon, you know 19 kills and 20 min in armor. So I get 15 and i'm like 4 more but an anti tank guy palces a well placed shot (redundant i know) and brings my armor to half. so i hop out and try to repair it. i check my map and see a squad 1 but i didn't think he was gonna jump in, incorrect, he jumped in. lance corporal noob, i kept saying noob get out of my tank wolverine over and over till i got blocked. then after that i got blocked, then i got kicked for complaining. next round when i came back i said wolverine you noob you stole my tank, and he said oh sorry. and i was like, you fucking motherfucking pussy cocksucking noob i kept telling you to get out. and then he says i must not've seen it. worst part is the guy doesn't kill ne1 in my tank and ends up dieing. and this was the tank at the south end (wake island) complete bullshit. now i know what it's like after all those other rants and complaints. i did manage to hop into a tank as a gunner be4 i got kicked but i was still missing 1 kill and i think like 3 min.
Put a nice AT rocket up his ass, or if you dont have one throw nades
didn't have a chance i was an engineer and as soon as i realized what was going on (this was at airfield and i was taking out guys at beach) hes already past those two fort thinies near the scan trailer and if memory serves me right he was killed either by a mine or eryx b/c another tank just got destroyed around the same time.FromTheAshes wrote:

poor noobs messing stuff up & not even realizing it hehe , true noobdom.
No one cares about what ribbon your going for. Most are just out for themselves.Calling someone a cocksucking noob is a sure way to get them to fuck you the rest of the round as well as not giving you back your armor. Not everyone cares about thier score or yours.
Also, you might wanna consider Karkand or another city map with no airpower if your going after the armored service ribbon.19 kills on Karkand in armor is very easy to get.
If that doesn't work you could always command while in armor as artillery kills count towards whatever vehicle your in.You won't make any friends doing it but it shouldn't be necessary to resort to that.

The armor ribbon doesn't work for me. I've gotten 30 kills in about 30 mins in Karkand and no ribbon. I was supposed to get the ribbon atleast 3 times and nothing! wtf!
(yes i only play in ranked servers)

yeah same with me, i wasnt even trying to get it but i did. but when i checked out my stats, it never registered that i had ever gotten it. and it was in a ranked server as well. made me mad.DZL-X wrote:

This will really piss your teammates off. You will be depriving them of an armored vehicle for a good part of a round. Or you will be giving them a virtually ineffective commander as you drive around trying to get your ribbon, occasionally dropping arty, but rarely doing any spotting for your team.YoBabysDaddy wrote:

lmao at calling a noob a noob then expecting him to listen to you.xX[Elangbam]Xx wrote:

Thats the fastest way to get the opposite of what you want every time.
well you cant really force the guy out of the tank, just tk him. Me i play on my clan server and since my commander (clanmate) is a high ranker he is always commander so he drops me supplies all the time. If that isnt working then drive far away if possible and repair.
that really sucks man...
have been playing engie a l lot lately (but just got expert engie so, will be trying other kits) and there will be the occasional noob or just plain blind team8 who will hop into the vehicle you are repairing. it does get frustrating especially if you were on a good streak or going for a badge. but getting frustrated and angry just throws you off your game. more often than not just go backto the vehicle's spawn point because;
a. the vehicle noob stealer will most likely succumb to a quick death and
b. he wont know where to respawn if he wants it again
so try to get over it and await your next opportunity.
ps. do scream at the noob at first, some arent so wrapped up in their noob package that they sometimes do listen and understand their mistake.

I NEVER get out to repair my armor if a teammate is nearby. I've had equipment stolen a number of times to the point I just don't risk it anymore. Sad, but true. What's even worse is if I have someoe on the MG while I'm driving the tank. Then I just hope to find a supply crate before it's too late.
i REALLY DESPISE people who steal my tank while reparing. I think i'll do an AT shot to his back.
too many noobs play bf2
do me a favor, psycho. Watch this movie, www.pwned.nl, then read that post again (Don't shoot up ur school though cuz some kid stole your tank.) Freak.

I can't believe you're still playing. We reported you back in February.

You'd have to be a major noob to not hear the wratcheting sound and see the armor's health going up to not know someone was fixing the tank.
If the tank doesn't already have a gunner, I'll jump in and then move to the gunners seat and give the guy cover while he repairs, then go along for the ride.

That's because you have a clue.Agent_Dung_Bomb wrote:

But as of recent I've played aon a few servers where whilst I'm repairing my tank or APC, some team mate jumps in and helps me shoot whilst I'm repairing .. and when I ask them to get out, they actually do jump out. What great team work there ....
But if someone stole my vehicle whilst I was repairing it .. i'd be pissed off as well!!

Some guy did that to me as well. I tked him every time i saw him after that point, fucked my score but i didn't care tbh.
Revenge is sweet.

It's funny. If I see a guy repairing his tank, I'll go jump in the gunner's seat so he can atleast get a repair point, and have some cover. But usually they quickly get back in the tank before I get there, I guess they think I'm going to take it.
I was playing Dragon Valley and saw one of our APC's doing a great job wreaking havoc on the enemy.
Eventually the dude is forced to bail from his smoking APC and tried to make his way towards the enemy.
I was playing as engineer and I ran up to the APC, repaired it, drove up to the former driver and dispatched the enemies that pinned him down, jumped out of the APC and told him to take it.
He looked at me for a while and then typed a confused "Woah... Thanks!".
If the person driving the tank/APC is doing a great job I don't see any reason to steal it.

That's because you think like a TEAM player.... and the way it should be done...Sambuccashake wrote:

In order to get the armor ribbon, or any ribbon that requires time in the tank, you can' get out of the tank otherwise the timer resets to 0
