Hey guys...  I had to format my computer and I forgot what sound device i had before, so now i dont hear anything on my computer at all. Can someone plz help me out??

well you will need to fine out what device it is and install the correct drivers.

if its just onboard sound from the motherbaord chances are you will need ac97 audio drivers.
if you have a disk for your motherboard it should be on that.
or you can find your audio device by right clicking on my computer, click hardware tab then click on device manager button. and brows around till you see what you have. then download the drivers for that.

The reason that i have this problem is that, i reinstalled windows xp and i was up till 4 in the morning. To be honest i cant remember what i had before. I'm trying to these things now and hopefully it'll be fine. thanks for your help.

You can also download drivers for your mother board (which will have the on board sound drivers in them) from the mobo's manufactures site. like, www.asus.com, etc

OMG..... i cant hear nothing when i'm playing bf2. i can hear the intro, but when it comes to the main menu or the game nothing at all!!!!!!     Help Plzz
