noticed this option in the Land vechicle options for quite a while. and just now deciding to give a post bout it

"left shift" BOOST

its above pop smoke for tanks, etc etc

isnt this supposed to make u have turbo or something? i dont understand what it does.

maybe a bug? in the game..cuz nothin happens when i press or hold Lshift

only jets have "boost".. afterburners

but turbo charged tanks sound bad.. now i won't be able to run away from tanks lol

in the jet section there is no boost, just afterburners. the boost is only on land vehicles. maybe it was something they had in beta versions? i have no idea.

nah you dont get the boost straight away. what you have to do is pull up into one of the garages around the maps. if u sit long enough a wee guy comes out and cleans your windows, he will then tell you about the body modifications which he can do for your humvy or vodnic. You can add on some skirts with lights to the bottom of the vehicle, then you can get some firry dice in the window. He also offers the Nitro attachment which you can then hold down Left Shift to make use of this.

Comes in handy when drag racing those MEC youngsters down the Runways.

There was supposed to be a boost for humvees etc. Dunno what happened to that.

And is it just me or does the "duck in turret" not work as well.

Something which is rather stupid and inherent in BF series : ground vehicules (planes used to, but now thanks to "afterburner", they no longer undergo this aberration) and diggy boats : they reach full throttle within 2-5 seconds ! I think that accelerating with the "forward" button (W or Z) would simulate a "normal" acceleration to reach an average speed (half of the max speed of the vehicule or so, a cruise speed then !) and that the "boost" button (shift or other) would simulate a quite high acceleration, like stepping on the gas and reaching full speed (would be cooll for buggies and FAV).
