people, you guys are basically frying your video cards. This happens when things get way to hot on the memory and GPU of the card. if you get these things often, dont expect your card to last much longer.
Shhh.... I am trying to sell these guys new GFX cards!

[authoritative tone] So, what you need to do, is scale back your video drivers. Next, restart your computer, but go into the BIOS settings, and adjust your clock settings WAAAAYYYYY up! Don't worry, if it doesn't work, nothing bad will happen. The CPU is just sleepy. This is a shot of adrenelin to wake it up!
It's like Red Bull. You know it must be good for you, otherwise they would only market it to children!

Oh, in case you get this funny smell coming from your machine, I happen to have some spare parts, that I am willing to let go for real cheap. Look me up on EBay!

If anyone is having heat issues that are making their card freak there is a jerry-rigged way to keep it cool. It's what I used to do anyways.

I would just remove the side cover and, point a small ocillating fan at it. The fan is under an AC vent too. It makes a difference. I can hear all my fans slow down inside after a few minutes. I still do it from time to time if I have been playing awhile and I hear all my fans on high. Just have a can of air and clear out the dust the 1st time and, give it a quick one through evertime your done and, put the cover back on.
