Alright, I'm pissed at commander 2x bonus.

Okay, first off to commanders: I think a good commander who communicates to his team deserves this. I think that you should go and get 2x bonus when you win...but...

So, a few minutes ago I'm playing sharqi. I had a really good round, had a score of 76 (-4 points for shooting a teammate accidentally when i was aiming for another dude, and I lost 2 for when i was planting C4 on an APC, my RETARD NOOB teammate throws a nade (seriously, why throw nades at armor moron??) and the C4 blows, APC dies, he gets credit, and it said I suicide. Wow)
Damn I feel the rush. Going to bases BOOM...damn I had fun with the M4 there..first time I really good with the standard spec ops american gun.
So, round ends. I'm like...SHIT YEAH! That was NICE!

of course, my commander with 40 points gets a gold medal. Now don't assume I'm a freak about imaginairy medals. Don't tell me

I do that. It's just that, when I go crazy and do really well I wanna be rewarded for it. And in a way I want to catch up with everyone else with a large ammount of medals and stars. That's when I got so skeptical about this. Anyway.. My commander NEVER communicated with the team. He NEVER once said a word, and when I yelled at him for supplies over and over, I never got em. No supplies were being dropped, and the meter was full, he just didn't care.
The guy gets a gold medal for sitting arround base and throwing down UAV. WHY?
I would understand if the guy supported his team and yelled at us to go harder and give orders and inform us that UAV and arty was full..but he just didn't give a shit.

The guy racks up 40 points and gets 80 in return. Why oh why...why...
I honestly don't understand why EA implemented this. Why not give commanders some more points for other things, instead of being dickwads and giving shit commanders 2x points. Thats TWICE the points..just insane...
Maybe they should get 2x points later on, not immediatly at that round to get ahead of everyone...

Don't worry about who got first place, it really doesn't matter that much. As long as you're averaging 50 + points per round, and as long as you're contributing to your team, you shouldn't have a problem.

what? i meant you get first, commander gets second, and some worthless old chump gets third. lets be honest here, most of us, most of the time, only care about OUR stats, so you shouldnt care about the other guy who got third, because you got first.

What if commanders got 1 point for every arty kill, -1 pt for every arty tk, +2 points for every supply box kill (dropping supplies on enemy snipers FTW), and then +1 point for every heal, repair, and resupply from a supply box you dropped equal to the points gained by medic, engineer, and support personel (so a supply box healing someone to full health would be +1 point, but it would be counted commander credit, not as a heal or a teamwork point)

maybe 1 point for every 10 people killed while under your UAV?

With this case, if he just dropped UAV, he might get 10 points, x2 = 20 points. Whereas if he used good arties, supply boxes, etc, he could earn those 80 points.

I'm not really sure if this would work but it seems like a good idea.

Metamort: sorry, but that is a horrible idea. You would have commander mutiny votes going the whole game, because the Commander would become the most coveted position on the field for stat growth. As it is will be fine.

Killaer: same goes to you... if you find your commander is useless - vote him off the island. If you don't vote, you don't get to bitch about the problem (that is the democratic way!) lol

there is a thing called a mutiny vote.

if u can get a load of people on your team to see what a crsap commander he is, create a vote and theyl most likely vote yes. if ther is no mutiny on the server then its not worth playing on.

The mere fact that commanders can rack up enough points to be in the top three, and the 2x win, should make commanders happy. If the team (and not just you) really has issues against a particularly poor commander, a mutiny vote will succeed.

Allowing a commander to rack up so many points that he will get the gold each and every time will just make people vote him out so they can have a chance for the 2x win. Bad idea.

Earlier today I was in a server where the commander wasn't even commanding, he was running around as a medic capturing flags and reviving people, our team managed to win and he got double points for doing nothing more than playing the same as anyone else. That pissed me off. If someone is a really good commander and gets double points I'm not so bothered, though it's a bit of a let down to show my score as the top in the server, and then only get a silver medal.

lol - i was playing at sharqi recently on a small server. I say sum1 go commander, and some dude does. I was squad leader and he talks into his mic. I ROFLed so hard, he must've been like 11.
but after that all he did was rampage around in a vodnik, dropping arty where we were capping flags, and being an all round asshole. we get the win, and he gets double points (I still beat him, but...). Sum1 like that shouldnt get their x2. On the other hand, excellent commanders (not mentioning any names *cough* myself *cough*) deserve them wholeheartedly with the microphone + supply dropping + spotting + UAV + artillery combo, doing something for the team.

Some of the Best Commanders Ive had Have Been 11 or 12 Years Old. I myself am pretty good, and im only 14.
