I finally got it up to 1:00. Although im still 6 deaths ahead.

However I would like to the thank the people who died to make this happen, you know who you are.

Special mentions go to the APC's on Karkand, and the PKM.

It is testament that you can be 1200 deaths ahead only to eventually pull even.

Anyone else managed to pull their k/d into line and possibly with a bigger deficit????

I'd say most people go through that same phase... I went from around 0.5 or 0.6 to 1.25.

But at the moment when I play I get 2 to 1 ratio or even better when things really go my way.

Now try to do that and cap as many flags as I do, that's another story.

Mine was really low mostly cause I didnt play the demo of this & 42 was the last fps I played.
took me about a month to figure it all out ,then I start to work on improving areas, I'd like to thank tank & apc whoring for catching me up.
Think my lowest was.91 now im up to 1.05 but then you see these guys with 12.3 & get discouraged.
Funny thing is I think im a good player but some people are just scary.

oh - i know how that is. played medic like a bitch for my first 14 or so hours, getting revives and what not, noobing it up had a K/D ratio of 0.45 at one point when i took the time to check.
now i'm 1.2 something, and over 1.0 in the medic kit (finally!!!!). Alot of that is thanks to my armoud whoring whilst engineer, but I have greatly increased my K/D ratio on foot as well.

BF2 is my first FPS I ever played online and before I started, I thought owning on"Expert" in singleplayer would prepare me for the online world...how wrong I was...
I got my ass handed so bad in the first 4 weeks...
But Im working on it...from 0.4 to 0.782 as we speak...God, I feel old sometimes...

Little additionl question : Have you guys experienced an increase in gaming after buying a better mouse ? Cause I have the feeling, that might be one reason why I suck so bad....

I learnt to play the game as spec-ops meaning lots of needless C4-related deaths, but I've gotten it from 1.3 to 2.1 in the last 3 weeks. If I carry on getting averages of 4:1 or 5:1 on servers ill get a total of 3:1 pretty soon (might be a little slower as I've stopped using jets as much and been playing on karkand/sharqi servers for the past few weeks. mmmm MG36)

Iwas at about .60 after about 125 hours, now im on about 1.06 at 200 hours, fuck it took forever to get it up, took me forever to learn how to play the game, as stupid as it sounds you might know what i mean. Now i reckon i get 3.1kd per round, and if im having a bad day its 1.1 (on foot)

Though i have been tank whoreing a bit, but when i do i sometimes get 5.1 kd a round.

Well this is first ONLINE fps.

However i played Unranked servers for 3 weeks before i started on regularly ranked servers.

While it helped me get the jist of it, i still got my ass handed to me early on.

But im also flying a bit more, and know maps better.

I got a better mouse (MX1000) because of Bf2. It has extra buttons which help in quick situations like when out of ammo i switch to pistol quickly to finish.

It glides like a champ, and is generally more responsive.

I hate to have to fight my initial Noob type playing! It takes time to get to know the game and other players do love making me pay for it! I do have a constantly raising KD and I am about to pass 1.00. I greatly improved by playing 100% sniper. I now average >3:1. My score per minute as dropped but I dont care. To me, KD is what wins a war.

i got the new logitech (super pixel resolution thingy) because of bf2. it is quite pleasant but it won't revolutionize your gaming prowess. maybe a 10% gain in performance at best

I started from around 1.0 and now it is up to 1.27 and slowly rising. I think it is easier to raise the ratio by avoiding death rather than just going for more kills. I found out that the assault kit with the improved G3 works best for me towards a better K/D ratio. Important factor is also learning to know the spots on the maps where you get easy kills from all the noobs (= noober than oneself).
