I dont know if i should bother getting the game, i mean, i can just pick up someones gun that has it and play with it, im not really that crazy about getting the new guns, so should i even bother getting the game? does someone that have it think its worth it?
imo its worth it.
i thought it was worth it, only get it if u have a good comp.
Hell yeah its worth it. The maps are better then the vanilla ones imo.
If you’re a vehicle whore you may not like it though.

I think the new armies/maps/weapons/vehicles easily make it worth the purchase.
it is teh pwnzorest game in teh whole bf2 collection. get it right now, or i will castrate you.
I've had it since it was released and only played about 5 hours on it so far. Since I had to re-install Windows I haven't even bother to re-install it though I probably will at some point. It may be the fact that in addition to temporaraily blinding me, flashbangs also cause my blood to boil. I hate those fucking things with a passion.
I'm afraid you'll have to take the plunge for to know for sure. Many like it, many hate it. I'm pretty "meh" about it to be honest.

Since I started playing SF i havent really played any other version. I like it
I got it but never play it since there is more lag on SF servers.
dont know what ur talking about fella^ i never lag alot just for 10 secs in a gmae
I got it just because the SPETSNAZ were in it
if you like infantry battles then SF is defenitly for you. if you're more of a armor or heli type of person then you might not like it.
Yeah I agree with Maj.Do what on earth are you talking about.
I was hesitant about getting Special Forces because of all the negatives that I've read on the forums like the long load times, lag, how it sucks, how the maps are too large, installation problems, etc. There are many more negatives but I don't care to list them.
But when I got it I didn't have any of those problems that people were complaining about. I actually liked it. Besides I was getting bored with the same maps and needed something new and Special forces satisfied that. I just wish that they would make more day maps with mec versus seals. They only have one day map which is The Iron Gator and it's true what people say, this map is the most laggy map on SF. Once this map load I'm off to another server. The night maps are good but once the server starts to fill up, here come the lag. That's I what I observed don't about anyone else. The rest of the maps are great and you will find them on the server rotation. I rarely see Leviathan on servers rotations. I've played it only once or twice.
So, I would say definately worth getting.

There is so much detail put into SF that I really enjoy the mix of maps. Warlord is always a blast and I have really gotten into the night maps ( Night Flight) which call for using your night vision also having to put on your gas mask quick to avoid blurred vision is also a fun change....definately worth it IMHO. The only downside is no jets/bombers ( there is attack helis ) .. I wish they put this much detail into the Euro expansion pack....
I'm a huge fan of SF, and warlord is by far one of my favorite maps. I agree though, that there need to be more SEAL maps. It's very rare to find a server full while night flight is going, and i've played levithian like two or three times.
Besides, Grappling and Zip-Lining is freaking awsome!

Be warned, if you are somewhere near the minimum requirements, you will get extreme lag on maps such as The Iron Gator. Other than that, most of the Navy SEALS and SAS maps are great -- the Russian rebel maps aren't too popular
speical forces is better than bf2 unless youre a fruit .. oops i mean a plane only person
I play a lot more SF than regular BF2 these days...
yes it's worth it, much more infantry action in sf maps, and in those maps with armor or helos you can easily defend yourself (the rpg7 is a pain in the ass for tank whores, and in helo maps there's plenty of aa)
and night maps are awesome

I don't like SF. Maybe it's just me, but I die every 10 seconds. Sometimes, I don't even get to walk forward before I am raped by the millions of sniper upon every roof top, or a chopper/tank/vehicle..
The maps are way too small, too much lag, and the ability to access any roof agrivates me. You can't even move before you die. I tried it again today to get some more SF badges, and I got so mad I just quit before the first round was over... it's just so retarded when you spawn, live for about a milisecond, and drop dead.. I just don't get how anyone can be successful on those piddley little maps.
That's my opinion anyway.
To each his own, but I much prefer the bigger BF2 maps.

strange.. ppl saying that they pplay more SF then vanilla... when i look in server broswer i c way more normal servers then SF.... hmm and YES there is big ASS lag in SF.. and none in normal BF2!
but i have to agree the maps in SF make it more infantry battle.. which is more fun!
summary : if your PC is up for it, it s worth the small amount they charge you for it...

how many SF servers are there?? and some many pure BF2??
buy it for the guns, play for several hours SF, but then go to BF2 again (that's what I did). I have 41 hours on SF anf something like 330 on Bf2.

Yeah im not a vehicle whore, i love battles on foot, so my computer is intel pentium4, 3.2 Ghz, 1gb ddr ram, radeon x700, will that allow the game to run on at least low specs?
sf is a waste of money
i cant even connect to servers with it, so i cant play it
