I encountered a problem last night that I never had before: controller lag.
I have an MX518 and a Nostromo N52, each connected to a different USB controller in the SB.
Basically, sometimes both devices would quit working in-game.  After about a second or two, they would start working again.
I have increased the USB polling rates to 500Hz, but have had it this way for a while with no problems.

I have only changed two things recently:
1. Swapped out a 6600GT VC for a 6800GS.
2. Added a Belkin USB2 PCI card. (I was running out of USB ports! )

I am leaning towards the USB2 card as the culprit, thinking it can't handle the increased polling rate.
Anybody had any problems like this or have an idea what could be causing it?

I just had the same problem tonight.  I have a Zboard and I thought it was that but no.  Even my mouse does it.  Both are USB.  I have an ASUS A8N5X mobo and it worked fine yesterday.  Only modifications I've done to BF2 today was a slight mic adjustment.  S.O.S.!!!

EDIT: Its not a connection issue.  IT EVEN DOES IT IN SINGLE PLAYER!  Sorry for yelling, but I just don't get it.  Did MS release a new XP patch last night or something?
