How to get a purple Heart medal??

It says that 'IAR: A K ratio of 1:4 with a minimum of 5 kills/20 deaths'

I know that i dont sound bright when I ask this, actually, if id be reading myself id think that im a retard-awarded class idiot.

So the question is:

Does this mean that I have to die 20 times in a match, and kill 5 people? Then like run and hide for it not to change?

No, you don't, but if for some strange reason you would want to, you're right. You have to have a 1:4 KDR with a minimum of 5 kills and 20 deaths. You'll get the medal as soon as you reach this point, you won't have to wait for the end of the round.

Uh, seeing as how getting the Purple Heart destroys your global kill to death ratio... why would you want it?. It's basically a medal for noobs that says "You suck, get some skill"

I actually got it because i wanted it, just another medal i wanted to add.

I dont think it means "You suck, get some skill"...UNLESS you have more then 1, then you do suck =p

Drunk-Driver: I can think of a helluva lot more that hurts the team like claymore spammers, intentional TKers and so on.

You know what... my goal was never to get it... but I need my drumroll fix for the day sooooo bad.

I liked it when I first started and I earned like 3-4 at a time. Those were the days. Seriously, I think EA figured out the best reward system I've ever seen for a game. It's head and shoulders about all other games' "unlock" systems.

I have the purple heart because i wanted to, infact it's one of the most honourable medlas in the army. So i dont think it's a "noob medal". If you're a medic and you saves the lives of your teammates but get killed while you doing it i think you deserve the Purple Heart and you can be proud of it. I got a gold medal the same round´i got the purple heart. so i dont think it's a" you suck so heres a medal" medal.

Not true, I almost got it twice... I got the recommendation but I was able to fix my k:d ratio before the end of the round and I didn't receive the medal... (once is enough)

I now have this medal .... and I am proud of it!

Got it on FuShe Pass after a protracted battle, where my team was under almost 100 points but where we finally got the win. My end score was 66, but I did get killed 20 times. It was great to secure that win and be rewarded for one's sacrifices.

Still, I have no ambition to hoard those medals....

It doesn't say you suck, and it doesn't hurt your ratio, it's just 20 deaths, 5 kills in one round...then you can get kills the rest of the round
